This is a bad IHT cut. For the same money we could increase the nil rate band to £900k/person, or alternatively cut the rate from 40% to 17.5%. Either would be simpler, fairer, and not distort the housing market.

"Don't listen to their promises to make life better They are the problem" Hmmm I'd rather say :- Don't listen to their promises, as they are habitual liars. Everything ReFuk say is a lie. They can't help it.

Never widely reported, is that in 2010, one of Cameron's first acts was to make 500 employees of HMRC, redundant.

I personally don't care any more. Due to the BBC's support of Brexit, Reform, and other right wing agendas, I hardly watch their TV channels any more. I blame Lisa Nandy as much as anyone. She alone has the remit to force change on the BBC management.

Fartage isn't interested in being an MP, and serving his constituency. All he wants is power for his backers, to implement a right wing, low tax, no services, no NHS, administration. Unless you're a millionaire, it will cost you dearly.

Don't ever trust the Tories or Reform. They are liars, it's in their DNA, they cannot be trusted. Just look at Brexit, and the deliberate lies that were spoken by a handful of people. Don't trust these new "pledges"

Brexit Bin 🇪🇺 🇬🇧 🇩🇪 @brexitbin.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
Always remember ... Brexit was the first salvo in a Putin-backed attack upon the West. The same battle is now being fought throughout Europe. If the UK finally bins Brexit and rejoins the EU, it will be seen as a victory for the whole of Europe — and a decisive strike against Putin-backed populism.

That was a tactic used in the UK, by the #Brexiteers. A few days before the referendum, Fartage had his ugly face, looking miserable, on many newspapers saying that Remain had won. That one act probably led to thousands not voting, in the belief it was a "done deal".

That's a downright lie Johnson, and you know it. Prior to you getting into No. 10, there were no small boats. None. It all happened on your watch, with your stupid "Hard Brexit" you moron. Still, why should I be surprised. Once a liar, always a liar. Leopards, Spots, etc.

I personally think it should be delayed indefinitely. Main reason, the road network (especially the M25) in west London struggles even now, without the extra traffic a 3rd runway would create. BBC News - Heathrow Airport's third runway may be delayed to 2039 www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The UK's busiest airport says the original goal of 2035 will be difficult to meet without simplifying the planning process.

"ANOTHER REFORM COUNCILLOR GONE 😆 Ivor Robinson has resigned as a Dudley councillor altogether, just months after winning St James’s seat for Reform UK in May. This isn’t a defection or a switch to independent. His resignation means the seat is vacant and a by-election will follow." via Celia Leigh

Just 4 months after the local elections, Reform UK (RefUK) have lost 158 of their local councillors: -55 resigned -42 went Independent -28 defected -24 were kicked out -5 lost their seats -2 disqualified -2 suspended. Appalling record - and a waste of taxpayers’ money!

Dead right. We have a G.E. every five years because people change their mind, because the political landscape changes, and because circumstances also change. It's no longer sensible to adhere to a ten year old referendum.

This is a replica of the Boris Johnson years. Johnson wasn't very bright, and didn't want his cabinet colleagues to outshine him. So, he engineered to sack to 20 brightest, then promoted those less able to cabinet positions. The result was a deeply flawed administration.
