It took nearly four years for me to get a place where I could focus and concentrate again. Grief is difficult and at times feels insurmountable. It helps to have great friends and colleagues who support you and have patience when times get difficult. Having a cat (or other pet) helps a lot, too.

I bought a used replacement iPad mini this week because I broke my other one by accident just a day after my warranty expired. My replacement iPad mini won't let me add AppleCare to it because coverage expired 28 years ago...? I didn't realize they had iPads in 1978!

I bought a watch before I headed to the ISA conference. I didn’t realize that it was being shipped from Denmark. I got a bill today for the tariffs: $39.66 (although only $21.16 was for the tariffs). 1/4 of the price of the watch was customs and associated fees.
