Real payload was hidden on the school bus.

Still from movie Mad Max: Road Warrior where wild haired gang member, erupting from an open topped vehicle is swinging a grappling hook in order to commandeer the gas tanker alongside him. We later learn the tanker was full of sand, just a decoy, and the real prize was in small containers aboard a school bus that escaped the compound amongst the chaos.

Woman Stabbed by Husband Recently Charges Unfaithfulness to Spouse.
E. H. Dancy, local carpenter, who faces charges in connection with the stabbing and serious wounding of his wife several weeks ago, was made defendant in a divorce suit filed Monday afternoon in the district court.
No mention of the stabbing episode was made in the suit, Mrs.
Dancy alleging unfaithfulness on the part of Daney. The co-respondent's name is not given.
The Dancys were married in Dal-las, Texas, in 1910, the petition states. They have four children, Jacob Leroy, 15; William Elmer, 13;
Raymond, 9, and Dorothy Bell, 6.
The mother asks custody of the children.

She sought help from the courts and police. Even had police as neighbors. None of that helped. Her husband, my great- grandfather, purchased a handgun anyway and with premeditation, shot her three times then shot himself. She held on for less than a day. 2/?

People talk about cycles of violence in families. When doing #familyhistory and #genealogy research, I luckily don't see it every time, helping to dispel the feeling of inevitability. But here we have my great-grandmother, Lillie Mae, stabbed by her husband in the spring. 1/? Thread

Newspaper clipping: DANCY AND WIFE BURIED IN SAME GRAVE ON FRIDAY
Funeral Services of Victims of Double Tragedy Are Conducted Friday Morning.
Side by side in the same grave in the little plot in Forest Park cemetery, the bodies of E. H. Dancy and his wife were buried Friday morning. Thus ended the final chapter in last Monday's double tragedy, which occurred at the Dancy home, 3011 Alabama street.
It was the wish of Dancy that his wife, whose life he took before
sending a bullet into his brain, be buried beside him, and this request was respected. The shooting was the culmination of domestic difficulties of long standing, it is said.
Relatives of both victims attended the last rites, which were held at the grave and at the McCook Bros. Funeral Home.
Dr. A. J.
Smith, pastor of Queensborough Baptist church. conducted the serv-ice. Four children, orphaned by the tragedy, were in attendance.
Some of them were too small to realize the seriousness of the trag-edy. They will be cared for by relatives, it was reported.
The children are: Leroy,
15;
Elmer, 13; Raymond, 10, and Doro-thy, 6. The little girl was the only member of the family to witness the shooting of her mother.
Pallbearers at the funeral were members of the local carpenters' union, of which Dancy was a member.

Oshkosh NGDV (next generation delivery vehicle) looks like this because the USPS contract mandated that the cabin must be tall enough for a 95th percentile male (6'2) to stand up but low enough for a 5th percentile female (4'11) to see over the hood. Postal workers call it a duck-mobile.

First time making hand-pulled noodles and it was a success! And yes, my cool noodle shot is somewhat impaired by the little green onion hanging out on the chopstick. Hello, little friend. You were yummy, too.

Kneaded, smooth noodle dough arranged in a mound on top of a grey countertop. Remnants of dough are stuck to the countertop around the mound.

Chinese short form characters for biang biang on left, a noodle from a blue bowl of dark noodles being held up by chopstick held horizontal. Tiny green onion sits atop the chopstick. Same bowl is also pictured before and after the ingredients are mixed. Scrapbook style page says "Biang Biang Noodles".

A color-coded chart that is 6 columns by 32 rows. Each column represents a generation. Countries, U.S. State, or "?" are listed in each cell. If known, county and city also appear. Six question marks are in the 6th generation. North Carolina, Arkansas, and Kansas are repeated quite often. Italy, Germany, and Scotland also appear in some cells.

I have finished the thing. Binding all hand sewn since the machine went on the fritz and deadlines were looming. I'm still such a novice, but my heart is in the right place. There is some warble and wonk to edges, but straighter than previous projects. I consider it a win. #quilting #sewing
