Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties specifically regulates that because you can't expect the parties to know the specifics of domestic law of every other party. If your head honcho approved it, that's good enough. If they didn't have the power to do that, that's your problem to resolve.
Article 7
Full powers

1. A person is considered as representing a State for the purpose of adopting or authenticating the text of a treaty or for the purpose of expressing the consent of the State to be bound by a treaty if:

(a) he produces appropriate full powers; or

(b) it appears from the practice of the States concerned or from other circumstances that their intention was to consider that person as representing the State for such purposes and to dispense with full powers.

2. In virtue of their functions and without having to produce full powers, the following are considered as representing their State:

(a) Heads of State, Heads of Government and Ministers for Foreign Affairs, for the purpose of performing all acts relating to the conclusion of a treaty;

(b) heads of diplomatic missions, for the purpose of adopting the text of a treaty between the accrediting Stat and the State to which they are accredited;

(c) representatives accredited by States to an international conference or to an international organization or one of its organs, for the purpose of adopting the text of a treaty in that conference, organization or organ.

And if we’re talking about the Jewish point of view, this is all I have to say:
Sanhedrin 75a
The William Davidson Talmud

§ Apropos the discussion of the obligation to allow oneself to be killed rather than engage in forbidden sexual intercourse, the Gemara notes that Rav Yehuda says that Rav says: There was an incident involving a certain man who set his eyes upon a certain woman and passion rose in his heart, to the point that he became deathly ill. And they came and asked doctors what was to be done with him. And the doctors said: He will have no cure until she engages in sexual intercourse with him. The Sages said: Let him die, and she may not engage in sexual intercourse with him. The doctors said: She should at least stand naked before him. The Sages said: Let him die, and she may not stand naked before him. The doctors suggested: The woman should at least converse with him behind a fence in a secluded area, so that he should derive a small amount of pleasure from the encounter. The Sages insisted: Let him die, and she may not converse with him behind a fence.

The degree to which this guy tries to present himself as the victim, when he just got mad at being expected to fairly share the burden of housework is something to be studied.
One example was a husband who said he and his wife hadn’t had a genuine conversation in years. After a blow-up fight where the wife accused him of not doing enough around the house, their relationship fractured.

Now, they talk exclusively through LINE, Japan’s most popular messaging app. However, her replies are mainly shio taiō (塩対応), “salty responses,” a phrase describing a cold, minimal, or dismissive tone.

According to the husband, the emotional distance extends beyond just the two of them. The wife is close to their daughter, and since she has no problem speaking badly of him to her, he now has a strained relationship with his child.

It has been, but:
In the United States hunting wolves became legal again once Trump's administration issued the policy which took away Endangered Species Act protections for endangered gray wolves. States then resumed the fight against gray wolves as the federal government was no longer protecting wolves. Making the hunting of wolves legal destroyed packs of wolves, and niches.

I'll be honest, the ending felt rushed and there was also some out of the blue apologia for parental homophobia towards the end (🥴) but at least we got a cute picture of a lesbian family, I love seeing old lesbians so much.

… Okay, so apparently they both have a lot of damage. This turned out much differently than I thought at first, and honestly, probably for the better. If it was simply about marrying a man out of internalised homophobia, I would find it much more difficult to root for them.

Okay, I’m at the very start and this seems to be worse than I expected. Like, I don’t blame the dude for not magically knowing that his wife is secretly a lesbian, but if she has ‘a pained expression’ every time they’re having sex and he notices and doesn’t take a hint… srsly, what’s wrong with men?

I seem to be in for a lot of pain, but what one doesn’t do for lesbians?
A girl who was adopted by two mothers met her soulmate-another girl, when she was 16 years old. After dating for ten years, the 'soulmate' decided to marry a man at the age of 28 because she did not want to live an "abnormal life". Only after leaving her to marry a man, did she finally understand the true meaning of love during those countless days and nights. However, can they still go back to the way things were?

Maybe it comes from a broader context, but tbf, from this fragment I would say that love here would be love men feel towards women. That being said, this is still not helpful because men overwhelmingly do NOT love women, and there's little women can do about it. To quote Marilyn Frye:
To say that straight men are heterosexual is only to say that they engage in sex (fucking exclusively with the other sex, i.e., women). All or almost all of that which pertains to love, most straight men reserve exclusively for other men.The people whom they admire, respect, adore, revere, honor, whom they imitate, idolize, and form profound attachments to, whom they are willing to teach and from whom they are willing to learn, and whose respect, admiration, recognition, honor, reverence and love they desire… those are, overwhelmingly, other men. In their relations with women, what passes for respect is kindness, generosity or paternalism; what passes for honor is removal to the pedestal. From women they want devotion, service and sex.

Apparently queer content is cringe, so making it sexual is likely also not good enough. 🙃

I agree. The idea of queer content at all is cringe to me. Just make GOOD content with queer IN it. Lots of writers have that priority flipped.

And while Sotomayor’s refusal to accept the social nature of sex assignment (considering the views she expresses here, I don’t believe for a moment that her consistently talking about ‘identified’ sex isn’t deliberate) and TERF-sympathy are already damning in themselves, we also get stuff like this:
The majority applies its diminished view of equal protection to the sports context today, relying on the parties' concessions that the State's asserted interests will be furthered in most applications, given the particularly close relationship between sex, sports, and those interests. One can only hope that the same misguided approach does not and will not extend to other contexts tomorrow, when any of these considerations are missing. 13

Thomas’s concurrence is obviously disgusting, especially since he wrote it only to insult us, but I’ve also read the dissent by people who allegedly support us (Sotomayor, joined by Kagan and Jackson), and… uh.
As the majority resses and no one disputes, when it comes to sex identified t birth, males generally have an inherent athletic advantage over females in playing sports.Footnote 9: The majority asks whether exemptions would be required for cisgender men who, because of their physical characteristics, do not pose either safety concerns or threaten competitive fairness in girls' and women's sports. See ante, at 22. The Equal Protection Clause does not require such exemptions, at least on the State's two stated interests here. That is because the State's interest in "fairness" is geared toward eliminating the athletic advantage inherent to sex identified at birth, not toward eliminating all athletic advantages in general. A cisgender boy's equal protection claim thus would fail because even if he is, for example, shorter than the average girl, he still possesses the same athletic advantage that is inherent to his sex identified at birth as any other cisgender boy. The majority misunderstands this distinction by confusing general "physical capabilities," like size and strength, with biological, athletic advantages that stem from sex identified at birth. Ante, at 19-20, n. 4.This litigation implicates deeply sensitive, contentious, and evolving issues. These circumstances demand exercising judicial restraint, not rushing to answer conclusively difficult questions without sufficient evidentiary development. In opting otherwise, the majority extends great sympathy to those it favors: the young cisgender girls and women who play sports. I share that sympathy.

Automated transcript from Apple Podcasts because they haven’t published an official one yet and I’m not doing the transcription myself. Anyway, I’m sorry but this is simply bigotry.
He also has this fucking anecdote, which I might cut this, but I can't help myself. Peter, here's this.
It was early in my career and I had been seeing Mary, a shy, lonely and physically collapsed young woman.
Again, it's just a vibe, it's a tone. The way that he talks about female victims is crazy.
If Books Could Kill listener, Bumble Profile. I had been seeing Mary, a shy, lonely and physically collapsed young woman for about three months in weekly psychotherapy dealing with the ravages of her terrible history of early abuse. One day I opened the door to my waiting room and saw her standing there provocatively, dressed in a miniskirt.
Her hair dyed flaming red with a cup of coffee in one hand and a snarl on her face.
You must be Dr. Vander Kolk, she said. My name is Jane and I came to warn you not to believe any of the lies that Mary has been telling you.Can I come in and tell you about her? I was stunned but fortunately kept myself from confronting Jane and instead heard her out.
Over the course of our session, I met not only Jane but also a hurt little girl and an angry male adolescent.
This is the beginning of a long and productive treatment.
So this is fake for so many reasons. The detail I'm stuck on is the fact that she dyed her hair to be one of her alter egos. Surely she's going to switch back to Mary and so does she then have to dye her hair again?
Yeah. Do you dye your hair before or after you mentally switch? You mentally switch to the other person and then you're like, ugh. This is outlandishly fake. This is a completely debunked thing where you'd have a bunch of different alters. There's a million academic articles about this that it was basically sort of approval-seeking or attention-seeking by patients.
They thought their doctors wanted this and would get subtly rewarded for it, and so they would create these alters. This is a phenomenon that essentially only ever existed in the United States. I read a super interesting article about this that they've looked at the patterns of people's different alters and people would constantly say, I have a four-year-old, that's one of my alters, and they would look at the linguistic patterns and it's like, this is not the language patterns of a child, this is the language of an adult pretending to be a child. It's really easy to identify. Then they also said, over time, people at first would say, I have four alters, but then by the end of the trend, people were saying, I have 250 alters.
Right.
It's like a tolerance builds up. You're like, I got to get my therapist attention somehow.
That's like that brief period in Tumblr history when people were just like, I'm a wolf. They don't actually know anything about wolves.
They're just like doing a little bit of howling.
I love that Jane still went to therapy. She's like, oh, stay away from Mary. She's the worst, but also, it's Tuesday at 4.
I got to make my appointment.
She wakes up as Jane. She's like, I hate this hair. Time to put on my hot-ass skirt, which I also have.
She looked at the calendar and she's like, doctor appointment, huh?

Reminds me of what Alyson once said (IIRC it was in the context of Show Girl, which is het). And like, this works for lesbian stories as well ofc (I've read many such myself), though I think there's likely something about het dynamics that makes it more pronounced there.

Fuck, this hit… first reassurance that this is not really an ego death, that she remained largely the same person… to be then hit with realisation that she now loves somebody else. And not because of how relationships have developed, but because of the forced merge. Fuck, this is painful. 😢
I really am no different now.
At least, as she tried to say last night before I cut her off, before I closed my synthetic eyes and turned myself as far off as it’s possible for me to go, I’m still here. At least I’m still me. In some sense.
John would recognize himself in me, I’m sure. He and I are the same, mostly; for all that I have a few vague memory imprints left over from Kay, and a scattering of her instincts, there really wasn’t enough left of her to alter me significantly. All I really have of her is her fondness for Kim—
No. No, that’s not quite right.
Say it.
Say it, John.
All I have of Kay is her love for Kim.
I think that’s why I seek Kim out. I think that’s why I draw so much comfort from her, even when I would prefer to find it in Emily.

Appealing from an act of Pope is not only ineffective, it also gets you punished with a censure (that is excommunication, interdict or suspension). He can do anything within the Catholic Church, he’s literally an absolute monarch!

This is stated directly in the Code of Canon Law, in terms that leave no doubt and there’s a reason why it’s so, and this reason is for nobody to question the Papal supremacy.
THE ROMAN PONTIFF

Can. 331 The bishop of the Roman Church, in whom continues the office given by the Lord uniquely to Peter, the first of the Apostles, and to be transmitted to his successors, is the head of the college of bishops, the Vicar of Christ, and the pastor of the universal Church on earth. By virtue of his office he possesses supreme, full, immediate, and universal ordinary power in the Church, which he is always able to exercise freely.
