ANNOUNCEMENT: Look out, trainers! #Reguriweek2026 will be held from January 12th to 18th, 2026! 🍎🍏 Each day has 2 prompts to choose from. Feel free to pick one, both, or skip days entirely - it’s entirely up to you! More info in thread ⬇🧵 #reguri #namelessshipping #レグリ

Red and Green Oak from Pokemon, making snow angels and smiling at each other. They are surrounded by blooming snowdrop flowers. The text reads, "Reguri Week 2026. Artwork: EmeraldSkies and _xo_rg_xo_ on twitter."

A text-heavy graphic with a snowdrop-patterned border. Text reads:

Day 1
Traditional Clothing | New Year's

Day 2
Meeting your past self | Role Swap*

Day 3
Day in the snow | Day in the sand

Day 4
Body Swap | Polaroid/Camera

Day 5
The Sun and Moon | Heartache

Day 6
Music AU | School/College/University AU

Day 7
Snowdrop | Free Space

* “Role swap” means, for example, What if Green went to Mt. Silver? What if Red got to the champion's room first? It also means things like, what if Red was a professor? What if Green worked for the pokemon center? However, we also welcome any other interpretations you may come up with!"

The graphic is decorated with two Red and Green chibis, as well as a larger illustration of Red and Green at the bottom of the graphic. Artwork credit: bleuledoeve and lemonjelloarts @ twitter.

It's beginning to look a lot like pokexchange... (hand matching, my beloved)

A blurry photo of small squares of paper scattered all over the floor, along with a pen and a pair of scissors. A participant's offers are on one square, and their requests on the other. I shuffle and match up the slips until every request is matched to an offer. Then I double check the assignments, and send out each assignment email one by one.

Pokémon Holiday Exchange @pokexchange.bsky.social · 19/11/2025

This is the first year I'm typing up the matches to sort instead of writing them all by hand. It's faster and easier on my carpal tunnel, but it's less fun... I miss writing out everyone's names.

Pokémon Holiday Exchange @pokexchange.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

46 sign ups. That's a new record for our special 15th year! (Last year was 44) Unlike most modern exchanges, pokemon is such a sprawling franchise that I do matching by hand. Because of this, matching emails may not go out until the 20. (1/2 🧵)

This was my fic for the 2024 @pokexchange.bsky.social ! I wrote it for @motherofsephy.bsky.social – the Patel Family Holiday archiveofourown.org/works/61407037

a block of text:

Her eyes widened. "Uncle Rose? I thought he was still in prison!"

"Apparently he's on house arrest, and he convinced his parole officer to let him visit us for the holiday. I think Mom had to convince Dad to agree, too." Nia frowned. "Are you alright, sis? You don't look too good."

Sweat broke out on her forehead. Her uncle was the billionaire CEO of Galar's Macro Cosmos and the former chairman of the Pokémon League, having lost that position when he resurrected a giant apocalypse dragon and caused the second Darkest Day. He had good intentions, he claimed, but Penny still wasn't sure how to feel about him.

More importantly, she had hacked into his company's finances and had been siphoning money from him for months. Did he know?

Happy New Year!! I can now reveal which fic was mine for the 2024 Pokemon Gift Exchange hosted by @pokexchange.bsky.social 🪑🧔🏾‍♂️🌹 The gift was for @realityandrebirth.bsky.social #pokemon #fanfiction #fanfic #chairmanrose #pokesky #ao3 #peony #penny #peonia #galar archiveofourown.org/works/61454860

Text reads: Posey Roses by motherofsephy

Several months after Rose's initial arrest, after his sentencing, Peony receives a letter from his estranged brother, asking to reconnect, asking to give him a chance for forgiveness.

He had texted his response. Informal. To the point. “Got your letter. We’ll be there.”
He had nothing more to say. I accept your apology? ‘M sorry for what’s happened? I love you, too, big bro? The rift was too great, the relationship too broken.

Or was it?

Nothing makes me laugh more than how our one single fandom counts as 18 different fandoms according to AO3. The reason so much of pokexchange is run off AO3/by hand is because Pokemon fandom is literally too complex for AO3 to handle. I love pokemon, never change ♥️

A screenshot of AO3, showing that the Pokemon Holiday Exchange covers a list of 18 different "fandoms," but it's all actually just pokemon. It's just different franchises, like pokemon special, or each individual game, or the anime.

Matching is finally done... But it's 2AM and I'm falling asleep at the table, so assignments will be sent out as soon as I'm conscious tomorrow. Almost there! Thank you for your patience! 😭🙏💗

A blurry (for privacy reasons) photo of the pokexchange matching process - I write each person's requests on one slip and their offers on another slip, and then shuffle them around to make matches. 42 participants this year meant I wrote 84 slips of paper by hand. The photo shows rows of little slips matched two by two, taking over the entire surface of my dining room table, along with my laptop, a pen, and my glasses. Also, I'm having a chronic illness flare up so I'm sleeping more than usual. All of it takes a while! But I promise you'll have a fun time with your assignment because I think about each one carefully!
