This one took me really long (literally several days), but the ezBuff did pull it off! Ultimate Spider-man for PS2 succesfully restored and 100% ripped. Deep scratches and pits had me had to resurface it twice, and buff all the way back to fully shiny.

full disclosure: disc was bought 2nd hand, I don’t know it’s usage/storage history Is this the first signs of disc rot on ‘newer’ consoles? White swirls on the internal layers of this wii game (PAL smash bros Brawl, nintendo published!). This could be bad for collectors 😢 cc @timeextension.com

Made a little X68000 mount for it, which prints in 25 minutes and no support required. Sometimes simple is all you need

Soldered it all together, nice and therapeutic 🥰 Now have to make a SASI cable for my X68000 to install this internally (and probably make a mount too), but that’s for later - I hate making cables 😂

The swap itself was easy. I prep the port with a little solder to the hdmi connector pins beforehand. Once the old port is off, I clean up the old solder with some wick, heat the area again and drop the new on in place.

We had a celebration party at the office, so obviously I took the opportunity to make something which ran on real hardware! I made an infinite loop of logo variants Guerrilla had over the years. Cycling randomly every 20 seconds (or if you press start button), with a bit of camera animation added.
