Goodbye Taroko 😭 I'll miss you so much 🐋

A photo I took of Taroko, a 26 foot long whale shark, swimming in front of the 60 ft acrylic window in the Atlanta Aquarium. A couple dozen people are sitting in front of the glass looking up at him. One child is pointing at the glass. The shark is beautifully backlit by the bright blue water. Lots of fish are swimming around him.

I cannot begin to explain how important these whale sharks are to me. The first thing most people learn when they meet me is how much I love them. I showed the livestream of this tank to my coworkers today. People ask me for advice about this aquarium when they go to Atlanta. I love these creatures.

my workplace actually has a bunch of massive auditoriums and once in a while they let us vote on movies to watch in there. they screened twilight in one of them recently 😂 it was so fun, people were laughing the whole time
