as all guys are, i didnt really take any cool pictures while i was out in the world. but here's some things that mattered to me (not allowed to take pictures at digital stars) i had all pretty good seats at the shows, and 8 of the tickets i bought were vip. gave some away, left with 3 vip bags.

i would not be lying if i said i wanted to die and thought about drinking for the first time when leaving boston to go home. then i stopped for gas in shartlesville, PA. i want to keep going to these shows, things like them, and keep seeing people in person as much as possible. i need to.

i'd do it again i think. next time i would want to bring someone with me. not because it might be efficient or less boring, but because it's an experience worth having, to at least drive out somewhere you haven't been before. going to the shows never got old, and i wish it never ended.

- put your trust into restaurants 2 hours from civilization - dont even try driving within 100 miles of LA - nyc transit isnt as dirty and scary as one might think. smells funny though - dont miss turns there were moments where i wanted to quit, but you can't quit when you are 1000 miles from home.

thoughts: - downtown boston has an incomprehensible layout and it makes traffic there thoroughly ass - connecticut and mass have bad out-of-city traffic - oklahoma drivers rarely surpass the speed limit - birmingham/nj drivers are dangerous - traffic leaving nyc northbound is fun when it isnt busy

i wanted to drive instead of fly simply because i'm afraid of flying and it felt like it would be cheaper. also, i've never really been anywhere out there. i want to go out and see the view. sure driving 2 days across texas is boring, but to me it's not.

the overall drive took me through 21 states + DC. the initial idea was to just go to LA and come back home, but i kind of committed to the bit really hard and some other circumstances made me really need to finish it all. not for myself but also for the people i needed to meet along the way.

this trip began with a drive to LA, following the shows through to Boston. most things that went wrong on this trip all happened in the initial 28 hour drive to LA. i booked the mid-point hotel for the wrong date and also got stuck in the mojave for a few minutes due to some road debris.

starting early 4/23 and ending on late 5/13, i attended 9 miku expo shows and digital stars nyc by driving from the mid south, LA to Boston. this took: -120 hours driving 6868 miles (39.9 mpg) -about $14400 ($6000 hotels, $3000 car, $3275 tickets, $400 parking, $750 gas, $500 food, etc) -patience

i should be more specific here in saying that when you dont update and then try to update, you get hit with all of the yum/apt/fart repo links being dead and having to go find out how to fix it and/or manually update the kernel. then it just doesnt work when following instructions line by line

linux is an awesome operating system for people that dont value their time. it works great if you waste all of your time first understanding how to make it work. my own experience example: if i leave an install un-updated for long enough it just becomes nigh impossible to do anything -> os reinstall

many players have an issue with this one a full double jump will be enough - hold jump through the screen transition and long enough until you start to fall back down, and then immediately start the second jump and hold it fully. that should get you high enough with 1-2 blocks of clearance
