Will never forgive Dell for their Wyse machine because it's the only damn thing that pops up trying to find PC386 documentation

OH SHIT. Glad to see he held onto it after all these years. Honestly, that does make me really happy. 😭 I'll have to revisit ES here soon, then.

I actually don't remember if Shiki Okasaka was part of the Experimental System project, but it does sound like something he'd have worked on 🤔 It was honestly so cool, and a Unix build... too bad Nintendo sold it to Google who has done absolutely nothing with it 😭

Busy having a crisis now because I just realized ES is 20 years old this year 😬

He said "You're OS is dog shit, it's terrible, but I love it" He gave me a B- so I'll fuckin take it, considering the fact right now it basically just turns on lol

waiting for someone to drop the driver disks and a drive on ebay for a reasonable price lmfao 😭

XenXen(★XENIX) 💾♠ @pocketunix.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

The 95 ThinkPad is hit or miss since we can just load software onto a floppy and make PCDOS do all the work and I have driver disks for drive replacement but my R series was the flight simulator ThinkPad but XP nuked itself and I don't have a driver disk for that machine for a fresh install 😩

Looking at my stack of computers that all need parts and sighing to myself about it. Losing two ThinkPads at MAG to drive failure has set me back considerably, ughh.

The vicious cycle of "just sleep" and then not being able to sleep, or sleeping for 24 straight hours. No amount of hydration, caffeine, vitamins, diet changes, medication FIXES IT AND AAAAAAAAAA. CAN I JUST FEEL NORMAL PLEASE.

Say hello to SHORK 586! I added an option to the #SHORK 486 #Linux configurator to select the target architecture for optimisation. If you select a 586, you now get this! For now, it shares the same features & programs as SHORK 486, but I anticipate 586 will gain new, unique multimedia stuff soon!

A screenshot of SHORK 586 running in a 86Box virtual machine configured to use an Intel Penium (P5) CPU. SHORKFETCH output is shown to confirm the OS and system info.

You... do realize the people protesting aren't the ones who voted for this, right? They didn't create anything, they voted against it and now have to fight against it because the actual idiots voted the fascist clown into office. You cannot be this far gone.

To say all Americans are evil and the least revolutionary people on this planet is incredibly disrespectful to the millions of them who have and are putting their lives at risk to protect human rights and chase ICE out of neighbourhoods. There are evil people everywhere, don't get it twisted.

Using Summit to catch a moth that broke into my house I couldn't reach, by lifting her up, but the joke is she very gently caught the moth and it survived the encounter. The same CANNOT be said for her toy mice.
