But if you're coming from a culture where christianity IS the default and not a slowly shrinking minority and atheism is a radical stance i can see why you'd grow up thinking things that aren't real are a necessary part of life, even if you shed the christian aesthetic for healing crystals

I've was confronted with any of this in my life until i started spending time on the internet. I kind of assume there's just this pervasive culturally christian sentiment in the USA that can't make room for the idea of someone not just not being religious, but never having been in the first place

me not partaking in any gods or religions is not an active choice i made, it's something i grew up doing. it's not a rebellious stance, it's just an artifact of the culture I grew up in. Religion exists in my peripheries, it's not ever been central to my life. I do not know what church is about.

i think i do sort of offer a unique perspective on atheism in that, at least on a global scale, it's very rare to grow up non-religious. it's more common in the netherlands but so much of 2010's youtuber atheism was built around USamerican ex-christians

it's kind of hard to describe what "overanimated" even looks like. but like your character doesn't need a fully new pose every second if they're just doing dialogue. they don't need a full second of anticipation and follow through. you know. you should look at live action movies more
