Happy #DayofDredd to those that celebrate. I am a little too far away to attend one of the live events. Enjoy if you are able to go!

Lovely walk at the weekend in the only part of Co.Kildare that can be described as “hilly”.

Afternoon pint and a 2000ad from 1982. Bliss. Black Sheep, Capel St.

Proved once again that I have no arts and crafts skills. Enjoyed the eerie silence and the eclipse though.

Up and about a little earlier than planned. Bonus of a lovely sunrise on Sandymount Strand.

My annual binding of last year's @lrb.co.uk. Should really do this as soon as I get them, but there is a really nice sense of achievement doing it in bulk and it's enjoyable to stop now and again and have a read. Work fuelled by multiple mugs of tea.

Original Record Store Day plan was to wander into Dublin and only buy if something really caught my interest. Soak up the vibes instead. That didn't go to plan.

First visit to the Black Sheep on Capel St. in a while. Went to try the 0% Full Sail on draft but sadly they had run out. Plumped for Whiplash's 0% Never Drinking Again. Lovely atmosphere; kids, multiple tables playing board games, good music and various pub dogs. Classic 2000ad for nostalgia.

That time of the year when a group of friends just share festive 2000ad covers.

Peak middle aged fun. A pint of However You May from Track at Underdog, Dublin and a prog of 2000ad from October 1982. Bliss

Prog 127 is the first I properly remember. Of all the stories that week, ABC Warriors gripped my 6 nearly 7 year old brain the most. Still surprised my parents let me buy it.

Macadamia Nut Brown Ale from Lough Gill at the Black Sheep Capel Street. Lovely treat to get my hands on a cask beer in Dublin.

Approached RSD like going to IKEA. Go with a strong plan, go a bit later, don’t get distracted, walk away from anything sparkly, get out once your business is done. Kenny Dorham, Bill Evans and a lovely collection of alternative takes and tracks left out of some Jazz classics. #RSD

A pint of cask Dark Mild from Beoir Chorca Dhuibhne (West Kerry Brewery) at The Black Sheep. A rare treat these days in Dublin to get my hands on a cask beer. Some vintage Fantastic Four for the perfect accompaniment.
