We recently had to say goodbye to our fierce little alarm dog who was in our lives for 14 1/2 years. Kidney disease and oral melanoma took him from us. He’s sleeping on a Pendleton wool blanket in this photo. Only the best for him. He was a pampered and dearly loved companion. #dogs 😢🌈

Senator Padilla was driven violently to his knees–as if made to kneel before the authority of the executive–because the administration called his questions “disrespectful”. This should offend not just the other 99 Senators. It should offend the conscience of this country.

My mom was born in Queens, NY in the 1920s. She described the outbreaks of diphtheria, also known as the “strangling angel,” among children. I’m of the vaccine era. I’ve never had to witness active polio, diphtheria, tetanus, TB, and I don’t ever want to!

Our dogs. On the left side, our exotic-looking spunky terrier-chihuahua mix when he was a youngster. He’s an old guy now. On the right side, our previous dog, a mini-schnauzer. Most stubborn dog we’ve ever had but a fierce guard dog! Both dogs were re-homed to us. #dogs
