Peter M @pmmaths.bsky.social · 29/09/2026How difficult was it to create the infrastructure to hold the questions? It sounds like a great idea! 010
Peter M @pmmaths.bsky.social · 06/08/2026I’ve been reading the book by @susanwhitehouse.bsky.social and @mrsouthernmaths.bsky.social: it really is excellent, I especially liked how they position the higher level of challenge to students from the start whilst keeping it accessible. Plus lots of links to resources and ideas. 162
Peter M @pmmaths.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I think there would be a whole family of curves that satisfy the asymptotes and the intercepts but differ in that you could pull them closer into the points where the asymptotes intersect or further away - similar to 1/x vs 1/x^3 110
Peter M @pmmaths.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Enjoying dipping into this over the summer, some intriguing methods, and showing the benefits of the link between methods across curriculum - how you teach linear sequences can influence quadratic sequences and/or linear graphs. Also fun Victorian textbook extracts. Thanks @mathsjem.bsky.social 111
Peter M @pmmaths.bsky.social · 24/07/2026What a great puzzle. If you haven't seen them, you'll probably enjoy these too from the recent MEI conference, complete with some great Geogebra links. meirezblobs.blob.core.windows.net/bef47d59-1f7...meirezblobs.blob.core.windows.net 010
Peter M @pmmaths.bsky.social · 10/07/2026That sounds like a really interesting idea, how do you structure teaching them problem solving? Is it similar to a support lesson with them bringing problems they are struggling with? 110
Peter M @pmmaths.bsky.social · 13/05/2026Any chance of taking a look at the Y12/13 further maths booklets @mrdhillow.bsky.social ? I think they are not currently accessible on the website. Much appreciated. 100
