It does have its perks. I already knew how to read when I enter kindergarten. I don't remember which grade but the teacher would put us in teams like bowling teams for grammar contests. They'd switch teams every week. Let's say that was the only time I was VERY popular 😂

I've always considered myself a bit weird. The way that pro wrestling was consuming my life even at 4 years old when I started watching instantly swung me in that category. Over time, I chose to replace the term "I'm weird" to "My brain is wired differently".

Personally, I would find solace in this: The most important talking point after last night was how the tribute to PAC was beautifully put together and everyone in AEW poured their heart & soul into making sure they did their friend proud and did him justice. For me, this is what mattered most.

PAC's Memorial at Grey's Monument in Newcastle is growing now. Including a replica of the AEW International Championship. PAC was the Inaugural AEW International Champion when it was called the All Atlantic Championship at the time.

Also consider that this was the 2nd member of their roster they had to say goodbye too in the same month. "The Butcher" Andy Williams (also guitarist for Every Time I Die formerly) died during an indy wrestling show a few weeks before.

I almost think this is more happenstance than anything. Most importantly, Bryan, Mercedes and Kenny all wanted to pay their respects to PAC. They were just also able to tie up some loose ends in the process.

Listening to that promo to open the show....it obviously isn't the same situation but it gave me that weird eerie feeling from 2014 when Ultimate Warrior cut that promo on Raw the night before he died. Without knowing it, Mox actually gave Pac's eulogy during that promo. Just surreal.

I don't think it should be perceived as such. I feel like every promotion is necessary in the pro wrestling microcosm. AEW arrived at the perfect time when it needed an alternative. Like all promotions, they have their flaws but AEW is still necessary for the business.

What's your "origin" video game? The earliest memory of game nights at a friend's house was playing Excitebike. My parents were dead set against us getting a NES and it wasn't until I was 9 years old we finally got one. But Excitebike is absolutely the game that got me hooked to video games.

The idea that only being physically in the same place can lead to "meaningful social interaction" is a very good example of older people not understanding younger ones. Also, the big issue here is not remote work. It's all the folks relying solely on their work for social interaction.

Yes and no. The main issue is that he's enabled by people around him who egg him on and tells him what he wants to hear, not what he needs to hear. I think that nothing less than a January 6-like protest against him would change things.
