Curious how forest microclimate and soil microbes drive carbon cycling in a changing climate? 🌡️🌳🍄We're offering a 4-year PhD position at @mycopat.bsky.social, SLU-Uppsala. A cool new project in collaboration with @linegreis.bsky.social Apply now or help spread the word! www.slu.se/en/about-slu...

I enjoy living in Hannover and I will not advocate it as a hidden gem now. But the page of Stadthistorie.info nicely shows how we treat our rivers in cities 🌱💧and make them unliveable with the same stroke: 1925 vs 2017 from the same location 🛣️🚗 *Autogerechte Stadt* stadthistorie.info/vergleich/73...

Paludi for future! With our master students we visited a paludi best practice site close to Oldenburg. Safeguarding fossil bog carbon while maintaining agriculture use. And let me tell you, it needs more than a bucket of water to do this 🪣📖🔬👩🏻‍🔬 project lead by @uni_greifswald

I think it also boils down on how much storytelling you can and want to do to make the natural science topic vivid and entertaining while keep the facts straight
