Bonus pic of arguably one of the hottest bears out there which heavily inspired my own. Kinda surprised he ain't get put on a lot of people's radars sooner

This is Mikhail Ursus, also known as Ursa Major, a MCU mutant character who can transform into a bear. His look has changed from comic to comic, but this is his best design in my opinion. He's straight up eye candy

Remaking this into a thread so you can see them all together, despite the compression, and individually Character (re)designs by @/notkalls.bsky.social

Four of my ocs standing next to each other where you can see the size differences between them.

It was important to me that I could have my own ocs, and I've seen posts encouraging people like me to do so, but that dream has crumbled, and now I wait in fear that I'll be too late and those ideas will just get done by someone else.

I even had pitbull and bulldog ocs I was expecting to be done by this month that snowballed into delays. I've been commissioning artists for less than a year, and encountering these challenges so early has tanked my mental health and made me feel powerless.

I was reluctant to post these recent artworks because I didn't want to believe that the comm would be dropped due to unforseen circumstances. I was really hoping for the best, and this is turned out to be yet another setback this year has thrown at me.

More sketches that were done after the first one

In these next sketches, the pose is slightly updated so that my butt is exposed, and we can really get a glimpse at how well-endowed the bear is compared to the others. The minotaur and gorilla are also sized up slightly. The bear's design changes to give him sort of a mustache, thicker eyebrows, neck fluff, and a blind eye with scars over it like in his earlier conceptions. He sports some spiky metal arm bands, a padlock chain necklace, claw rings, and a chain harness that was present in previous artwork of him. The minotaur now has chest fur and a leather harness with chain links. His frohawk and beard are slightly larger, and his twists are less numerous but more pronounced. The gorilla has thicker eyebrows, is fatter, and his arms and hands are more massive, but his hair was altered as a placeholder.

In this sketch, the minotaur's twists are shorter, his beard is slightly bigger, and the horseshoe mustache is replaced with a regular frizzy mustache and nosering. Chain links are also added around the thighs. The gorilla's hair is corrected back to bubble braids, and this time they're larger and not tied to the back. A spade tag is also added to my collar.

Restrained and surrounded! Lineart sketches done earlier this year by @/notkalls.bsky.social. Might not get completed

A sketch of me getting grabbed and lifted up with one hand by a bear standing directly behind, and drooling on, me. An arm of mine is restrained in the process. A minotaur stands on the left side, yanking my leash while resting his hand on my thigh. A gorilla stands on the right side, grinning while restraining my free arm with his hand. All of them are hard and very eager to do as they please with me.

While the minotaur and gorilla are massive compared to me, the bear is a lot bigger than all of them, his shoulders broad and barely fitting in the frame as he towers over me

I'm sorry to everybody. I try my best to be positive and keep my head up, but this whole year has been turning me into a very angry, bitter, and unsound person. Everything that I say and think as of late is nothing but negative, and it's taking a toll on me. I just need a break from it all.

The recurring issue I keep running into is that comparison is the thief of joy. I initially feel inspired and pay an artist to draw my ocs for me, then I start feeling like those ocs will never match up to the characters other people have made. I have yet to find a solution

🌸💫Princess Puppy Pluto💫🌸 @plutothepuli.bsky.social · 16/06/2026

I think part of the reason why I'm not a very good client is that no matter how much I like an artist's work, when I doubt my own capacity to make characters I feel are "good enough" to me, that negatively impacts the entire commission process for everyone

That's not to say people shouldn't be called out when they do something fucked up. It's an important part of learning and accountability especially within our own friend circles. But in any case, I continue to curate my social media and online viewing experience accordingly

I've noticed that, beyond the scope of that post, even abusers get passes because according to their fans, their music/art/etc. is so good that it somehow serves as a justification for their abuse and absolves them of any wrong-doing or harm (among other bad takes).

Not gonna reply to the original post this is referring to just in case people don't want it on their tl, but one thing I can say for certain is that some people will actively support creatives while filtering out any of the less than savory stuff they say or do.

The hairstyle is heavily inspired by Moonchild Sanelly, and because the Puli dog breed has locs, or cords, I thought it’d be a natural fit while still being able to have the hair be in an afro shape
