Hey everyone, sadly I got sick in the middle of the gamejam so I wasn't able to get far enough with my game but here are some screenshots of what I worked on: #IndieDev #GameDev #horrorgame #visualnovel #indiegame

Quick update: This month I'm participating in the Spooktober Visual Novel Gamejam on itch so my other projects will be paused until October. I'll post updates on this project here as well, maybe once a week, maybe more.

I started working on a Ren'Py version of Cosmic Bliss. While learning more about the engine I also had some ideas on how I could expand and change the story, which motivated me to work on this. It's also my most popular game on itch so far :D #IndieDev #GameDev #horrorgame #visualnovel #indiegame

I finished up a new Asset Pack for my ko-fi shop today! The weather change made me feel like making some Mushrooms and I'm working on a huge Mega Mushroom Forest Asset Pack right now, this item is basically the small budget version :) #pixelart #rpgmaker #rpgpapermaker #mushrooms

Update: I had to go on break for some time but I'm getting back to work now. Recently I uploaded two new YouTube videos and I will focus on Ren'Py tutorials throughout the development of The Reaper Project. I also decided to join the upcoming Spooktober VN Jam on itch.io!

Here is some more art I made for TRP before the heatwave hit. Because we are getting into spoiler territory, I will blur a lot of text from here on out. #IndieDev #GameDev #vndev #visualnovel #indiegame #digitalart

Finished up the main characters main sprite for conversatios! The game switches between this view in conversations and a first person view when exploring.

Continued working on this character sprite for my visual novel this week. #IndieDev #GameDev #vndev #visualnovel #indiegame #digitalart

Isis is a character from a visual novel I am currently working on called The Reaper Project. She's inspired by the Egyptian goddess Isis and welcomes the main character, Ethan, in this scene.

I did some scripting this week and continued working on Isis character sprite. Only some shading left, and of course, the golden accessories. I'm very happy with how she turned out, considering she underwent many redesigns over the years. #IndieDev #GameDev #vndev #visualnovel #indiegame #digitalart

Here is some art I made for The Reaper Project (visual novel) and Ivy Quest (RPG) this week. From now on, I will post progress shots of my current games in development once a week, usually on Fridays. :) #IndieDev #GameDev #horrorgame #visualnovel #indiegame #vndev #rpg

Forest view from a car window. Screenshot of The Reaper Project, which is a visual novel I am currently workin on.

The main character faces the front of the car, which is slightly illuminated by the moonlight.

3 npc designs for Ivy Quest, which is an RPG I am currntly working on. I also tested one of my tree designs and made a special sign for something that will be revealed in the future.

A map design for Ivy Quest, meant to become a temple of sorts where you can meet a special character.

Felt like working on a retro games inspired asset pack, might add this to my ko-fi shop in the future. #IndieDev #GameDev #pixelart

Screenshot of my retro asset pack designs utilized in RPG Paper Maker. Includes multiple ground designs, paths, trees and grass as well as a castle background image.

Same as the first one but this is what the map looks like in the engine, not in-game.

I have been quiet since the release of Cosmic Bliss, because I have been resting, while also working on the early development of my next 2 projects. I will get back to regular posting in March. I'm excited to reveal more as development continues. #IndieDev #GameDev #announcement #visualnovel #vndev

Cooking For The DEVIL! and The Reaper Project are currently in early development. Both will be Visual Novels, and I will post updates in March.

Sketch/Storyboard shortcomic of two characters from a story I want to turn into a visual novel someday. Might finish the lineart later but I wanted to share it now. #mlm #queerart #comicart #shortcomic #wip #sketch

James had another nightmare. Alistair comforts him and offers help but James doesn't want Alistair to tinker with his brain. They flirt a bit and later James secretly disposes of the meds he was given by his lover. This story plays in the The Reaper Project universe, an original story I'm working on.

In short I would say: Charlie has given up ob life, just when an angel shows up to the rescue. Will you help him reach salvation and lose his humanity in the process, make him fight or run for his life? Which side will you choose when you have no place in humanity?

PlushMonster @plushmonster404.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

Thank you :) Sure I'll try to summarize a bit. It's a mix of horror, romance, infection/parasites, corruption, body horror and all that good stuff. Basically a multiple choice horror visual novel that is currently in early access on my itch and I'm trying to finish it up this month.

I decided to start work on completely redoing the sound design for Cosmic Bliss and it's been fun so far. Really gives some more depth to the whole experience. I'm also still working on the art, the current artwork just takes a bit longer. :)
