Watching these big game showcases just makes me realize more and more every year is that new big releases just don't interest me anymore.

There's a strong possibility that there will be an extension to bring back the gallery/grid mode like Control Panel for Twitter (a life saver btw) but in matters like these it sort of sucks that the default viewing experience for the majority of users is so anti-artist.

The ONE good thing about Twitter and they fucked up it -- R.I.P. the media tab. Terrible for artists that love using reaction images and eastern artists who love posting food, really clogs it up. You WILL infinite scroll, you WILL doomscroll. Bsky please implement a gallery view thank you :).

1.) The need to postulate as if their preference is law or superior. 'My version of this fetish is the superior fetish' as if this is high art we're talking about. 2.) The need for validation (especially in big artists) via metrics. We all enjoy attention but some people are never satisfied.

No kidding, even the tumblr era was significantly better than the true blue social medias of today if only for the fact tags were immensely useful and webpages allowed for a greater degree of personal customization.

Oh I see, this is like tweetdeck before it got paywalled! I always found this column-based mutliview to be WAY better than the site's native layout -- thanks!!

Exactly! Someone who finally understands me. 😌

That's a good way of going about it! I search in a similar way, except it's just me looking up their names up sporadically whenever it comes to mind into the booru search engine.

There are so many artists I'd like to follow but they come across as being completely unlikable.💔 If there was a way to strip all posts down to just art and no text I'd do it in a heartbeat. A lot of it just boils down to "my way of thinking GOOD, other way of thinking BAD".

People are growth-oriented and feelings of stagnation can lead to serious motivational death and ennui in my experience. I usually set small goals to try and overcome as I approach my bigger goals down the line.

Plundered 🔞 @plundered.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

It's times like these where you need to reevaluate your priorities and motivations for what keeps you going. Is it intrinsic? Do you feel satisfied with your work, do you feel like you've improved? Is it extrinsic? Has your following grown, is it profitable, have you met many people?

That being said: the other 10% of the time where the artist interpretation beats out the original in my eyes makes it all worth it. Althecae's Sable can rewrote my brain chemistry.

Plundered 🔞 @plundered.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

It's a total non-problem and there's nothing wrong with it though, just musing about it. Revolving character heads plastered on the same body base ad nauseam, no longer resembling what makes them compelling in the first place. However, some characters need all the help they can get. Like Sandy...

Plundered 🔞 @plundered.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Artist interpretation is a huge part of what keeps art interesting, but seeing characters you like so off-model really kills it for me 90% of the time. I'm guilty of this too for sure. I think semi on-model works best where the divide between style and faithfulness is fairly even.

I've been trying to do the same thing lately, invest into that whole circadian rhythm thing! The last couple of times I've tried to sleep lately has been ASS and trying melatonin for the first time ever has NOT been helping. Maybe I should try that magnesium thing instead...
