Hey #dollsky, in the midst of this doll drought, I’ve been buying blind box bjds and most of them are probably what you’d expect but I just had to give a shoutout to the thousand years of fantasy and romance series bc woah!!! She is 1/6 scale and she is STUNNING!!!

She has a light blue dragon statue on her shoulder and robes in traditional Chinese style that fade from white to blue. Her skirt covers her shoes, and her long sleeves are adorned with beads hanging down on the end.

#dollsky Has anyone else noticed that the forearms and hands on newer monster high g3 dolls seem to be made out of softer plastic? I also feel like the joints are getting looser faster. Maybe it’s just a personal/skill issue but I hope its not going to impact the longevity of newer and cuter dolls.

#dollsky Does anyone else feel like Mattel doesn’t know what to do with Clawdeen in g3? I love many of her base dolls and I think she’s so cute but her outfits are all over the place. Poor ghoul is often the weakest in any lines she’s in plus they gave her so much poly hair at the beginning.

G3 Clawdeen first core look. She has light brown hair with reddish purple streaks in a top knot, a black and purple fur vest, purple leopard print overalls, a black and pink long sleeve top, and a gold belt. #dollsky Mga what was the thought process on these. Who are they for. No seriously please tell me I because I don’t know. The style iconz series having articulated wrists after 300 years while being entirely reused dolls is diabolical Minnie looks ok here but the articulation cuts :(

Definitely Bratz. They have really good fashion and it’s high quality too but I struggle to collect dolls without some kind of story/lore/theme/etc. As a side note I quite like the bratzillaz if it weren’t for that poly ah hair and being 1 million dollars for a doll that is… not worth that…

These 2 are the same level of goth and camp to me as well as being on the same level of quality. The pieces in g1 are maybe “higher” quality but a g3 doll comes with more things to make something really unique / for restyling (and snacks bc they need those apparently)

Genuinely such a crime that rainbow high is still making such BEAUTIFUL DOLLS and then won’t give them the articulation. I would pay 30 dollars to have wrists on these but I guess they needed that money for the gimmick #dollsky

The new line up for rainbow high. I don’t know what the line is called but it’s a gimmick where you put rhinestones on them like bejeweled in 2005. There is a light pink girl wirh crimped rainbow highlighted hair, a red girl with rainbow highlighted pigtails, a turquoise girl with rainbow highlighted waves, a royal blue girl with half up half down hair with pink stripes, and a purple girl with space buns and highlights of some color.

The new shadow high girls night dolls. We have Natasha Zima in all white, Heather Greyson with her half black half white hair in a black sweat suit, Luna Madison with moon and star metallic grey pjs, and Shanelle Onyx in a fur trimmed black robe.

On US Mercari I was seeing her for under 30 usd nib plus maybe 8 dollar shipping. That is under her original retail price iirc. Her pants are hands down my favorite out of any RH/SH doll. She does have metallic nylon tho, hence why I’ve braided it. I’ve changed other things but she keeps the pants!

Hello followers and dollsky it’s been 300 years, just here to say I picked up that new meline on sale for 13.99 at target and she’s soooo worth it with a little restyle. If only she came with this stand instead of that hair chalk, now that would be perfection #dollsky

I also put her on a gold stand (not included unfortunately). Junior high Avery was on clearance for 12 dollars at Marshall’s… I couldn’t resist. Her outfit is super well constructed and I love this shade of hair once you get most of the tinsel out lol. If her original doll looked like this with a rooted wig I probably would have wanted her more.
