oh damn you're right it does sound sarcastic I really like it cause it saves me on disk space (I do save my porn) and well it's objectively better, we should strive towards improvement and it's kinda sad some OSes still don't support it but frankly it's been 15 years, they had time

ok so apparently bluesky is using webp now, this is incredibly fucking based and probably the best feature the site has over shitter now, 2026 is truly the year of the bluesky

anyways im pretty sure bluesky will be probably worth using in 2026 cause there seems to be an attempt to make it a proper twitter replacement/social network, but only time will tell i guess.

chat cold also get some work, not just images but gifs and hyperlinks and other qol stuff, you don't use these sites for chatting but they work as a nice email basket, people can ask for commissions, compliment your art, ask questions, etc; all of this is kinda hard with the current system.

anyways im kinda thankful for some features i think twitter should have (disabling reposts globally, disabling trends and other distracting elements, managing feeds, etc) the focus seems to be proper functionality instead of the fuckery twitter is doing (fuck you gonk) so that's nice

not only that but I've always felt abdl furries hating on lolishit and such it's a pot calling the kettle black thing, using the same arguments nonetheless lmeow, but frankly I have never tried to argue properly about it so uuuhhh meh i guess!

getting mixed signals over the fact they want to apparently be sanitized (banning lolicon or japanese risque characters) but then allowing characters from deltarune, small pokemons, tails, cream, etc; honestly this kinda of performative stuff is the kind of thing you expect from west twt lmao.

bluesky report: site still kinda sucks but it got some QoL lately that makes it kinda bearable to browse, posting is still kinda tricky (gifs, pngs, etc).
