At this point, I feel like Cursor and I are in a toxic relationship. I complain, it gaslights me with broken code.

Little @figma.com updates I love: ➡️ progressive blur for layer & background ➡️ text on path ➡️ texture & noise effects ➡️ grid improvements ➡️ radial repeat And most of these things used to require some hacky tricks (or plugins) or switching to another app... But not anymore! ❤️

It's a pretty robust code editor with AI. But sure, let's call it "vibe coding app"...

I've started reviewing people I follow on X, then clicked few times "Not interested in this post", then muted few words and turns out X feed doesn't have to be that bad after all 🤷‍♂️ I'm giving X another try 🙌

While ago I needed to build wireframes for engineering team who wanted to see more abstracted version of certain features or interfaces. Something more style- or platform-agnostic. But greyscale wireframes are boring. So I turned everything into blueprints.

Sometimes the best way to hand off a design to engineering is to code it yourself. And no, you don't have to build everything. Your code doesn't even need to be used. But build a prototype with static data, even with nasty hacks. Devs will be able to reverse engineer it - better than documentation!

I don't often design logos, but here's one I've done recently. It was meant to subtly show "MP" letters. But the brand is about fitness/health/nutrition/training, so besides letters I wanted to capture few things that at least I can see: - growth (steps/stairs going up) - muscle tendons - dynamism

Number of registered .ai domains over years: - '18: 50k - '22: 144k - '23: 354k - December '24: 572k - January '25: 600k In '23 (so BEFORE the boom) revenue from .ai domains for 🇦🇮 Anguilla was $32M which was over 20% of the gov’s total revenue for the year! Lucky country!

As a designer I sometimes feel like I don't wanna work anymore, I'm not doing progress, everything feels meaningless, just wanna quit... The lowest of the lows at work. What turns this upside down, at least sometimes, is someone saying "this is great, ship it!". And I'm back! Simple as that...

If you have zero education, but learn how to ask AI models the right questions , in many jobs you will be able to outperform someone with an advanced degree, but who is unwilling to use Large Language Models. Just takes a smartphone, curiosity to experiment and a mindset to learn.

bear with me: slack but for AI bots - for solo entrepreneurs, instead of inviting team members you’d create bots. each for specific „department” of your company. Sales Bot, Marketing Bot, CTO Bot… Each would have predefined instruction and access to specific documents, for example… 1/n

Anyone here working at Perplexity? They have tons of open roles but none for designers: www.perplexity.ai/hub/careers Which makes me curious what's the ratio of engineers vs designers? Interestingly, this is one of those more well-known AI products that ppl complain about their UI/UX the most.

Building a product with at least SOME engineering knowledge and letting Cursor (or any other AI coding tool) "do the rest" feels almost like cheating... Incredible times we live in!

It's been a while since I last shared some pixels here... Here's something I really liked, especially around iconography meaning: - 1 dot: single service - 4 dots: set of services - 1/3 dots: "Choose 1 out of 𝑛 services" Little design detail. #designsky

Loom is such a massive company. And yet they have that little UI bug in their reactions bar. Such a simple & basic CSS issue – almost embarrassing to ship it like that, especially with their resources and scale. Make UI Great Again!

I feel like every time I visit framer.com they have a new landing page. Wondering how that performs? Does it drive sales? Is it their way of AB testing? Or they just go yolo "let's launch new website!"? I understand the product evolves, but what's the benefit of updating it more than once a year?

At some point CSS will become full blown proper programming language. At least will replace all sorts of UI javascript libraries used for fancy visual effects. And then... Eventually it will become The User Interface language: react+css but fast and performant–native for modern browsers without JS.
