Spent the day with a pal, found out my old manager is a furry, accidentally got a Sunday job LOL So that's crazy!

If anyone wondered what Mews sounds like in that music thing going around :]

022

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Lowkey one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Sure, it's not exactly fun being an artist in the current climate. But being a manager just outright sucked. So many things to stress abt outside of my control but were my responsibility. Absolutely horrible

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

This time last year (almost) I quit my management job and went freelance... Wow

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Like I could suggest Glueland but that's like four songs and that's not smth you can really sink your teeth into... So I'm excited to finally have an album to be like LOOK!!!! AREN'T THEY GREAT!!!! (Side note, Friend World sounds like a followup to Glueland sound wise. That makes me so happy...)

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Doubly sucks bc I like to give albums as intro experiences to artists. Do Nothing has been my favourite modern act for a good number of years and I have never been able to recommend them adaquetly bc I can't suggest Snake Sideways bc I don't think it shows them off well at all LMAO

100

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

All three singles have been legitimately some of their best work. Like Snake Sideways was good, but I always found it a bit lacklustre (especially next to their EP work). Nothing sucks, don't get me wrong, I like every song, but I have zero desire to ever listen to that album as a thing

100

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Just over a month until the Do Nothing album, I'm going rabid, I haven't been this excited for a music release in years

Anything over 600 pages feels like too much. I read about 100 a day. If a book takes longer than a week to finish, that's horrifying to me LMAO. I'm having the same issue with 2666 which I also REALLY wanna try but... It's 900... That's 9 days. I could have read three books by then!

000

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

I really wanna read Infinite Jest, man... But oh my god that book is a fucking brick, man, I don't know if I can commit that much time into something that dense

110

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I am not paying out for boring white envelopes Just For HMRC LMAO that would be a waste of money

I'm a professional I say as I send my tax return in a Bright Yellow Envelope

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

This isn't surprising, I love absurdism, if I didn't like the staple play for The Theatre of The Absurd I would severely question myself LMAO

Waiting for Godot really is as good as people say it is. Just under halfway through and I have laughed several times

I know how to crochet already, but colourwork stuff just looks better in knitting form... And I wanna make sweaters really badly,,, But this is also like... My 6th time trying, and every time my brain has a riot bc tensioning is so very different and my hands don't wanna work that way lmao

001

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I am once again trying to learn how to knit LMAO

140

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I'm finally committing to reading through his plays bc one of my absolute favourite things I have ever read and watched is Accidental Death of an Anarchist. Legitimately one of the best satires ever made. Especially when you read up on the history behind it. Goddamn so good

010

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I wish someone would just release a massive tome of Dario Fo's plays instead of me having to comb through to find what plays he wrote and which ones were translated to English, it would make my life way easier

General populace* Idk why the site word was repeated lol

010

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

4 hours until the Mews site is available to the general site,,, holy fuck

150

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Maybe opinions have changed! I just remember when ZTD came out and everyone was ranking em, I kept seeing most ppl put VLR first and 999 second. I do think VLR would have been better if it had nothing to do w 999, and had noone return. What they did to Clover and Junpei is mind-boggling lol

010

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Like, yeah, the game mechanics are way better. The way the game choices are done is definitely more interesting. But it's a visual novel, and the novel part of it sucks ass lmao

110

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

I will never understand why VLR is like heralded as as good/better by most of the community. The plot is confusing and convuluted, and I think it ruins every single character who was in 999 completely.

Blinking emotionally as I sketch the final Mews announcement post for this Saturday

040

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

I feel sad for kids, honestly. No kid spaces online, just ones who profit over shoving content down their throats, no having fun because AI can do that for you. Just absolute misery >:[

010

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

But NOOOO, let's take away the creative part, kids can just tell a goddamn box its ideas. Encouraging a move in society where we're hanging AI generated slop on our fridge instead of a kid's actual fucking work.

100

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

AI as a general thing is depressing and bad but what really saddens me is when I see that fucking AI sticker making thing for kids. Being a kid is the one fucking time where society lets people have a fucking imagination. To be creative and not worry about the results.

The new little thread counter is a great feature. Ugly implementation though

In some ways, being ill at the end of the month where my commission queue is light anyway is good. On the other hand, this is really fucking my Mews work week up :|

020

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Honestly, reading his Wikipedia page felt like I was reading fiction LOL

110

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

I don't know what's funnier, the actual article or the fact that this was so noteworthy that they put it on the front page 1959, what a time to be alive

110

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

It's Mews workweek... I missed working on my dumb cat comic

030

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

I watched 12 Angry Men recently and I quite liked it, it was a interesting film, but my first thought was "I would have enjoyed this more as a book, maybe a novella type deal" I don't know why I can't feel attached to film!!! It's maddening!

001

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Unfortunately, as is typical for me, I enjoyed it objectively, but like, I won't ever think about it again lol. I more watched it because I am nostalgic for Roadrunner and Wile in particular lmao I just... Don't care about films, I'm sorry

110

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Watched Coyote vs Acme today and I will say, I forgot how adorable Roadrunner is. That's it, that's my film review LMAO

110

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

And the Doodle Banners have somehow made my hands 10x more square, which is an achievement in itself LOL

001

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

It's amazing how the simple idea of letting myself be looser and more "cubist" with my art has made me not hate expression work HAHA

100

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

I only have doodle guys left on my queue,,,, crazy. Commission queue that is, I'm a tiny bit behind on member rewards but that's Friday's focus anyway fortunately haha

040

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

But I just found it irritating LOL felt more like I just read an action movie. Which is not what I signed up for at all. Where was the INTRIGUE DAMNIT

000

Kast | RAMBLY ALT 🗣️ @plovertalk.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

I really like sci-fi thrillers as a general rule and I had high hopes for this one because everyone talks about Blake Crouch in a holy shit wow this guy is great way. I was not a Fan :[
