Worth a read. The intro about 1920s Soviet agriculture head dismissing the science of genetics is a parable for our times re: climate change. The Trump administration’s assault on science feels eerily Soviet | grist.org/politics/the...

The Trump administration's assault on science feels eerily Soviet

The United States is drifting ever further away from science and climate reality. So why does life seem so normal?

Why I keep yelling that NASA is more than astronauts and rockets - actual Science that helps Humanity is being targeted. These two threatened Orbiting Carbon Observatories are managed by JPL.

Some states have vaccine registries where you can request your records. California has been doing this since the 90s. As for what vaccines to get ask your pharmacist.

PrEP medications for the prevention of HIV transmission were under USAID. I hope other countries are able to step up as this is an important tool until an effective vaccine can be developed

Hey folks, don’t feed your cats any kind of raw poultry, whether bits from some you’re preparing for yourself or commercially produced raw cat food. And don’t let your cats out. Bird flu kills cats, even if your cats don’t hunt birds, they could be exposed through feces or shared water or dead birds

Deep Space Network operations have moved to backup control center at Goldstone. This is first and only time in the history of the DSN that has occurred. It has been in 24/7/365 operation at JPL since 1964. DSN talks to spacecraft beyond Earth orbit, including the Voyagers and Mars rovers. #eatonfire

I noticed the jab at the other manufacturer about being able to replace the idler which is a big deal for me as I want to support companies that take sustainability seriously. I am seriously considering getting the upgrade kit

That bit about being able to replace the idlers was obviously a stab at Bambu, whose idlers are stupidly not replaceable.
