Wolcen 2 Announced
Developer Wolcen Studio has announced Wolcen 2, a sequel to its 2020 action RPG Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. The game is in development for PC and consoles, with a Steam Early Access released planned for 2027. The game is undergoing its first playtest, with those interested in participating able to sign-up through the developer's Contributors program.
Wolcen 2 takes place years after the events of the first game, with the world on the brink of collapse after Anathea, the goddess holding the Rift between reality and the demonic Void shut, is mortally wounded. Players can play solo or in co-op for up to four players. Like its predecessor, the game does not include predefined classes, with players building their own character build through weapons, abilities, passive talents, and other gear. Online co-op will use peer-to-peer connections rather than the dedicated servers of the previous game. The game will also include two post-campaign challenge modes.
