That was the total: average total played PlayStation game library size (including subscription plays and going back to PS3) of physical owners of said game vs digital. Ran some more calcs, but nothing stands out. Maybe average total library playtime? If you have ideas I can run them.

This sounded correct so I wrote a quick script to try and substantiate your guess with the data I had at hand. Alas, doesn't seem to be much of a difference. N = 31063 (PlayTracker users with PlayStation linked). Subscription plays excluded.

People will study what went right with Marvel Rivals for years. We haven't seen something like this since Helldivers 2. It held incredibly well over its launch month - a time when games typically decline. Now it beats its all-time concurrent player record and hits 500K. Can it keep up the momentum?

The Balatro sweep was real among PlayTracker users: Balatro reached more new players across all platforms in December than any month before. Previous players returned as well, with the game breaking its concurrent player record on Steam and achieving peak achievement activity on console.

Back in 2021, CDPR posted the Cyberpunk 2077 platform breakdown showing PC at 56%, yet for the expansion PC is at 68%. Even more interesting is that according to our (PlayTracker) data, consoles have been closing the gap since then, so the expansion over performed by a crazy amount on PC.

Assassin's Creed Mirage released today, promising a return to the franchise's roots. Unity is often talked about as the last "classic formula" Assassin's Creed. So we took a look at the data and saw how fans of that game have drifted away from the franchise over time. Will Mirage bring them back?
