They announced they were putting it in "maintenance mode" a few years ago, but kept doing small patches to address bugs and refresh the character rotation. But they actually announced they're releasing their first new character in years at BlizzCon this year and that more content is coming soon.

I periodically wax poetic about how good the Cartoon Network browser-based moba Adventure Time Battle Party was. There was a heroic push by some folks to rebuild it after the original was taken down, but the effort of using a strange browser and matchmaking through Discord was too big a hurdle...

Had a blast at The Absolute Gathering hosted by East Coast Candy Crew yesterday. Even though I lost in puzzle mystery and lost at Puzzle Touchdown, I won at mahjong which is what really counts. Hope to make it back in the future for more events, their arcade is sick.

Depending on how elaborate you'd like your point and click to be, Godot might be overkill. There are likely other visual coding engines that could provide a scene tree, dialogue system, and other basic features out of the box.

That I will know more soon, a lot of the places I've looked at are for hockey or esports. But previous history has been that turn around is a couple of weeks. If we want specifically football I likely still have to poke around elsewhere to be sure.

You can't feign being a good corporate worker bee on a project for 10 years. Everyone involved there had to know at face value his approach to game design and sign off on it sprint after sprint. But there's only one article from anyone involved, so that's where the pitchforks get pointed.

People definitely deliberately misconstruing this due to unfamiliarity with big ticket game development. Even if they disagree with the philosophy, they weren't made in a vacuum and likely required multiple levels of approvals from folks much higher up the chain than an individual producer.
