One of the things I really miss about The Olde Dayes (tm) was that when there were just a few networks we were all so much more connected culturally. And lots of us tv-loving kids got an education about pop-culture of the whole 20th century by watching re-runs and old movies.

Have you watched Daredevil: Born Again? I think you would really like it. Even though the status quo ends up being upheld, it has a LOT to reflect back at us about abuse of power and media manipulation. And who gets rewarded and who gets punished in the end is a LOT more like the real world.

So, I had the reverse reaction of being incredibly pissed off at the Zack Snyder adaptation of the graphic novel '300'. In the book, Miller's Spartans were drawn to be clearly NOT white Caucasians, but the film whitewashed the Spartans while making the Persians brown.

Can you tell me what it is in his posts that you find to be such a bad sign, especially the more recent ones? The worst thing I've seen was his statement that the military wouldn't ignore sexual assault among troops but that was from 2013 and he has explicitly stated that he was wrong apologized.
