Made some depth texture occlusion culling for my grass shader. Debugs are really fun to watch! Blue is close to frustum culling/distance culling red is occlusion culled. Each block has 32 randomly placed blades of grass so there are millions of blades here. #PlanetSmith #indiegame

Flowers in the new "grass" style. What's cool is there are a single vertex that after culling gets expanded into its correct LOD using a compute shader, each block has its own unique placements. I also like it faces the sun in the shadow pass so shadows are correct. #PlanetSmith #indiegame

Created a new editor inspector that lets me visualise block placement. Lets you get a feel for the density without having to load into game, numbers are hard to visualise but the image makes it easy! #PlanetSmith #indiegame #unity3d

I have created a new art pipeline for PlanetSmith with triangle pixels! I think this might be a first for a 3d game to have triangle pixel art? The old texture was 512x512 pixels but the new one is only 64x32 pixels! Less is more, do you like the new triangle style? #indiegame #gamedev
