Cat tax!! I've been on the internet I know the rules!

Two cats, one black and one orange, are laying on a bed with rumped blankets in the sunshine. The black cat looks away from the camera toward the orange tabby cat. The orange cat is reclined on her side, looking toward the camera with her perfect little paws held aloft.

Walked 10 min from the Marquis to the farthest corner of the convention center to find the plenary with Gov Inslee and I'm continually floored with how big this conference is despite it being my like, 5th or 6th #AGU24. How big do you think these screens are, my god

Happy halloween from the Witches Broom Nebula from Sommers-Bausch Observatory last night! came out way too green after I fussed with the levels, lol oh well #Astrophotography

the Witches broom nebula on a star field. it is very long and wispy and looks a little like the shape of an archery bow or a curly brace. at the peak of the bow is a very bright star. the whole image has a green cast.

Also, given that all North American birds will be renamed if their name currently contains a person's name (per the NYT): Petition to rename the Steller's Jay to the Stellar Jay, which is a common mistake and also very descriptive of how pretty it is!

update: The entire patio crowd all watched this plucky, nutty squirrel literally steal a pride flag out of a planter. Hate crime!!!

🌱didn't go to the garden for 10 days because busy, but it's still going strong! had to pull a bunch of dead calendula but the echinacea, borage, and trombocino zucchini are poppin'! the peppers are coming, got some early cayenne, and another with a faded tag 😬 can I use the borage in anything cool?

what's up gardening pals, my second year in my 10x10 bed is going well with square foot gardening in zone 6a (Boulder, CO), except I planted a trombocino zucchini without knowing how long the vines get! hope this trellisnis enough... 🌱
