wrote a happy little function 🦀
A function in the Rust programming language which takes a task and parallelizes it to all CPUs, returning a vector of the results of all tasks. I like how elegantly it is possible to write this function, and how useful it is despite its brevity! The source code is below:

```
fn parallel<T: Send>(
    task: impl FnMut(usize, usize) -> T + Clone + Send
) -> Vec<T> {
    use std::thread::{scope, ScopedJoinHandle};
    scope(move |scope| {
        let total = num_cpus::get();
        (0..total)
            .map(move |n| {
                let mut task = task.clone();
                scope.spawn(move || task(n, total))
            })
            .collect::<Vec<_>>()
            .into_iter()
            .map(ScopedJoinHandle::join)
            .map(Result::unwrap)
            .collect::<Vec<_>>()
    })
}
```

you may not like it, but this is what peak cryptography looks like

the wording on this modal is a bit confusing: b/c the action itself is "cancel" it seems like both buttons do the same thing when in fact the "cancel" button, uh,, cancels the cancellation maybe: "Discard draft: Are you sure you'd like to discard this draft? [[Discard]] [Cancel]"? CC: @pfrazee.com

i am begging Rob Pike to read Deleuze
Introduction:
Repetition and Difference

Repetition is not generality. Repetition and generality must be distinguished in several ways. Every formula which implies their confusion is regrettable: for example, when we say that two things are as alike as two drops of water; or when we identify 'there is only a science of the general' with there is only a science of that which is repeated'. Repetition and resemblance are different in kind - extremely so.
