🐱“Together & Onward”🐻 This #illustration, and “The Star” were done as a commission for a friend’s nursery. I loved brainstorming together the adventures of #Cat & #Bear! #art #fantasy #kidslitart

Cat & Bear are planning their adventures on a large colorful map. Behind them, a bustling castle town goes about a sunny day as merchants come and go through the castle wall gate.

At the start of their #adventure Cat & Bear had to gather supplies at the castle town and plan their route on the map. (A selection from a bigger piece I’ll post soon!) #kidslit #art #fantasy #illustration

Cat & Bear read a fantastical map and plot the next steps of their adventure. The bustle of a castle town in the background includes merchants and a dragon.

A full version of the #illustration I posted for my #KidLitArtPostcard — cat & bear had discovered a fallen star! ⭐️✨🐻🐱 But that’s not the only part of their adventure I illustrated…

A small cat wielding a dagger as a sword, and bear with a golden shield discover a prismatic crystal star fallen from the sky.

I made a batch of fresh pasta for New Year’s Eve dinner. Farfalle & ravioli— the colors are a regular egg-based dough, a beet dough, and a butterfly pea flower dough. All real colors!

Tricolor fresh pasta shaped in bow ties and formed into ravioli. The pasta has a beet-red magenta and pale blue color in addition to the regular pasta color.

Last year’s holiday card I painted us into a festive adventure. There was even a riddle! If you think you solved it, follow+reply and I’ll follow you back so you can dm me your answer (don’t spoil it!) #riddle #art #fantasy #knight #cat

“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good knight!” An illustration of two men in red and green Christmas themed knight’s armor, and a wizard-robed cat.

A HOLIDAY PUZZLE: ‘Twere the knights before Christmas and their wizard cat, Bringing holiday greetings, and good cheer like that. If only a snowfall would cover the ground Then holiday tidings would spread all around. But that wizard kitty had coded his spell To conjure up flurries, a task he did well. A secret key number would be what you need To begin the magic, save Christmas indeed.

The fall colors are still going strong in my neighborhood. I love this time of year! #art #illustration #fantasy

From high on the roof of a brick building, an archery tutor mentors her protégé in how to strike a far-off target. Colorful fall foliage fills the landscape, and unicorn-lion statues flank the strangely dressed pair.
