With the recent discussion with Kirby and the World Beyond about how people mostly know Kirby from Smash I would argue that the anime (Specifically the 4Kids Dub) is also at fault for the series perception

NGL I feel like people overthink why Adeleine wasn’t in Air Riders when in reality it’s probably as simple as Sakurai doesn’t like the character. As much as I hate to admit it her being ignored by Sakurai is unfortunately nothing anything new.

Upon sitting on it for awhile I actually realized what could’ve been done to make this movie more cohesive and interesting. Spoilers in the Alt.

Have Peach be the one captured instead of Rosalina for a majority of the film, and that the main team is Mario, Yoshi, Luigi, Toad, Bowser and Rosalina. Like the main focus of the film is heading to planet Bowser to stop Jr. and rescue a princess why not have it so that the princess is kidnapped by Jr. as a cry for his dads attention. That way the stuff that I feel was the most interesting about it (Bowser having conflicting feelings about reforming and accidentally shaping his son into a monster like him) would actually be properly explored while having a fun space adventure with Rosalina playing a Major role in it.

Most of these kids have some sort of trauma story, sometimes multiple stories. Villager is the exception. Kind of based on the fact that aside from Villager, most of the younger members of the smash have some sort of messed up life.

The most obscure Banjo Kazooie Character I can think of, it's probably going to be Banjo's pet Lickatoad that he got in Nuts and bolts. This also strengthens the idea of Viva Pinata being part of the DKU. @dkvine.com

I think it’s funny that these are the only times that the Modern Donkey Kong is implied to be a grown up Jr. (Even though he isn’t.) but one case is just because Nintendo just never brought Jr. back after Super Mario kart.

Something positive I will say about Subspace despite it's age is that The Great Maze allows you to basically play through the entire game with your favorite characters, creating your own weird fanfiction teams that you wouldn't get otherwise in the campaign.

Honestly I’ll give Brawl in the family a lot of credit for how it handled the Kirby cast, like even before their characterizations were solidified in the modern era it kind of was ahead of the time in how it portrayed King Dedede’s personality.
