king of screwing everything up, doing everything wrong. his whole character is the shape of every mistake he's ever made, and he's Still paying for it. writing him usually involves thinking, "what's the worst way to handle this?" but he wouldn't be who he is without the endless cycle of fucking up

A sad, pathetic, mint-haired man bundled up in a red blanket with heavy bags beneath his eyes.

it's funny, working on the emote model made me have to remember details of vanth's character design that i've otherwise just lost with each commission.. like his pupil shape, i've always drawn them horizontally (like a lot of prey animals have, for Metaphor Reasons™)

the other day marked a month since chuy passed. i made him a little spot in my animal crossing island, and put bones beside it since he resembles chuy a lot. it's a serene place, and it feels like i have a little piece of him there.

still, as much as i prefer ts3 now, ts4 vanth will live on forever in my heart for the one time he murdered the neighbor he hated in his front yard and was the happiest i've ever seen him. then when the grim reaper showed up, they also hooked up and got married it was so funny.

looking at ts3 and ts4 vanth, i feel like ts3 is way more accurate, especially in the face.. the only thing i mourn is that hair, but ts3 letting me swap between hairstyles freely and it all being the same consistent color is more than an even trade.
