Walker Jenkins was 0-for-4 in triple-A debut last night, and that included being struck out by Randy Dobnak. Another phenom bites the dust.

MLB’s scheduling bozos strike again. Twins: 17 home games in April; 29 home games among 50 scheduled through May 20. Another **** Minnesota: Yankees series here again during week (Mon.-Wed.) in mid-September.

I’ll bet B’SM’s OPS+ is dang near 4 after tonight.

I am very happy to have turned off Twins game after the various base-running follies. If I had been watching when Bad ‘Stache Mick homered, there would’ve been strong possibility of an aneurysm.

And every morning when I take my plunge, I’m supposed to spend a half-hour rolling up a bubble wrap tarp? What in the hell is wrong with you? I’m morally opposed to servile work on Sundays — as well as Mondays thru Saturdays.

Actually, he loosened up & was very informative.

Automated job performance survey from pro-Trump operation. Here’s hoping it was a surprise the Trumpeter received a (sincere) F from a 79-yr-old white guy. Of course, it could’ve been a scam to make electronic contact w/ a 79-yr-old white guy.

If you do nothing yourself as far as weekly maintenance & have pool outfit do it, as do I, quite a bit. If you’re a cheap ass as is my pal Jay in the neighborhood & do most everything yourself, it’s not bad.

I’m not sure what that dark blotch is at bottom of pool. It’s either a congregation of stray leaves from backyard trees or the oft-seen, all-black member of neighborhood’s family of feral cats. *Hoping for latter, meaning one less of those bird killers.

I was shocked when Legion XIII knocked off the Crushers yesterday in Plymouth, Mich. Forget the Ryder Cup. Golf fans will be buzzing about this upset for months.

On one of my too-frequent podcast and/or radio appearaces after Tommy Fleetwood let another one get away in Memphis at start of FedEx series, I said: “After all this ‘choked-again’ stuff, Fleetwood will win the FedEx Cup final b/c that’s the way sports work.” I need validation …

Now that trade bounty Mick Abel and Taj Bradley have locked down places in Twins’ 2026 rotation, there could be an excess of starters that makes it advisable to trade Joe Ryan this offseason.

I don’t think Loons really will have made it here as major sports entity until they get action photo in early-deadline, final Strib print sports section stating “our heroes played last night & check Strib website to find out who won.” Twins get that glory this AM, but Loony Tunes … nuttin’.

Rodning was released from minors by ‘Stros on Aug. 4. He’s back home and rumor at Walsh Field today was he’s headed to Mexico in couple months to pitch in its winter league. That’s the spirit, Brody. Never give up. You’re a lefty.
