it makes a bit less sense in the screenshot since both specular colors are actually different, but off camera i set both to the same color as the 'impacted sphere' and it appears similarly as it does in the photo.

this new xbox 360 softmod got me noticing things about the original boot animation i never noticed before

was pretty straightforward to figure out since they're both vector formats. i saw someone else on the sgi.sh forums had done the other way around (SVG to FTI) so it wasn't that difficult to figure out (by which i mean it took hours of debugging because i kept constantly running into bugs)

pictures of the bloombox i designed for @xploshi.bsky.social as it was in development, because why not

a drawing of how i invisioned the 'rafflesia bloombox' looking like. most details were brought over albeit placed slightly different

1st 3D render with the shell, handle, speaker (i didn't mirror them yet) and front display bezel (before i added the display itself). materials are at their earliest stages

render with pretty much everything completed: display extended, proper detail was added, textures for both the display and control panel bezels were added, and a mirror modifier was applied to the speaker

current page status: a good percentage of everything i have designed thus far has now been developed upon into a proper HTML page i also gave it an IRIX window border much like how the page currently looks

the same image from the original post, but rendered in HTML. there is now a blue/teal IRIX window surrounding the page contents, with a navigation bar at the top.

spending my evening writing scripts to randomly generate the "history" file for PS2 memory cards to alter how the towers appear during the startup sequence
