From a WaPo article about less-enthused GOP voters. The biggest/most modified bikes get 30+mpg, so with a $1/gal increase, he'd have to ride 9K miles every month (~100K mi/yr, nearly 40 hrs/week) to for his monthly gas cost to go up by $300. Math might not be this guy's strong suit.

When Alex Pretti was shot, agents held his arms and then another strode up behind him and shot him at point-blank range in the back. The identified agents have roughly a decade of service on the southern border. What are the odds that this is the first time they did this? It seems almost practiced.

Interesting Reddit post I came across recently. Not all Boston cops are like this, and there have been bad police interactions with homeless folks very near there, but it shows what’s possible.

On Sunday, I dropped off my son at college for spring semester. I parked on the corner of Tremont and West street as he unloaded the car and made multiple trips to his dorm room. I stood next to the car for 10-12 minutes and watched a scene unfold between a Boston Police Officer and a homeless man. I was about 15 feet away. The cop was around 30 years old and the homeless man was in rough shape. Really rough shape.
The officer, with medical gloves on, did a basic medical check and treated him with professionalism, respect, and concern.
Helped him with his belongings, made sure he was steady on his feet, and advised him on his options for food and shelter before parting ways.
There are hero's out there and this police officer is one of them.

You can buy your own body camera for $20-$30 on eBay or Amazon - I bought a "A18 Portable Mini Outdoor HD Sports Camera", this "1080P HD Body Camera" looks identical. Video isn't as good as a cell phone, but you can clip it to your pocket and leave it there, it'll record all day on a charge.
