I haven't seen many of your photos yet, but I will. I'm in NC too and I feel the same way you do. I know some things suck right now, but we have a chance to change things this November. At least we have this beautiful state to live in, and I'm sure it gives you plenty to photograph.

Re: the USS Abraham Lincoln, it’s not just that that crew has been “deployed” for a ridiculously long amount of time, it’s that they haven’t been allowed any port visits, which normally are part of a naval deployment. They haven’t been off the ship in months. All the Navy folks I know are horrified.

They do that with shows sometimes. The Office (US) only started with six or eight episodes the first season, then started doubling and tripling when it picked up steam.
