Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (1994) Pretty damn good, but how dare they present me with moe Chun-Li and not give her all of the screen time. They had the courtesy to give her the best fight scene at least.

Desert Rose: The Snow Apocalypse (1993) A decent little OVA. Irene Sanders 👍

Toy Story 5 (2026) It's okay. Probably the worst in the franchise, but not bad.

Predators (2025) Good companion piece to Primetime. Made me feel awful.

Primetime (2026) Very good, definitely one of my favorites of the year. A lot in the text here that makes me really wanna watch it again. Also it looks incredible.

Tony (2026) It's pretty good. Matt Johnson is still five for five with me, but I wouldn't call this one of his best. I love how Province Town is shot here; they successfully make it look very pretty. God bless the state of Massachusetts.

Sailor Suit and Machine Gun (1981) Kinda just okay. Didn't live up to the title or concept for me. I long for the Obayashi directed version of this that exists in my head.

Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001) Rewatch: Unfortunately I don't love this movie. It's pretty good, but I wouldn't call it a top tier Godzilla film. Not nearly as good as any of Kaneko's Gamera films.

The Ghost in the Shell (2026) Very good. We need more anime like this now. I feel basically the same about every iteration of GiTS I've watched/read (this, Oshii film, og manga). I don't love any of them, but I do think they're all good.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (2025) Probably McQuarrie's worst and is kinda dumb, but I really enjoyed it. I got so hyped when they opened JJ's mystery box.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning (2023) This one's also pretty peak. I really like the entity as an antagonist in execution.

38 movies in 34 days is reasonable enough, especially since most of them are around 90 minutes.

The Odyssey (2026) Biggest thing I was worried about going in was the aesthetics, but it ended up working for me mostly. Just wish Nolan directed the action in the finale better. Other than that, really good.

Spider-Man Brand New Day (2026) Shit Tom Holland might be the best Spider-Man. There’s like a dozen points where I just thought to myself “damn, that’s him”. Holland’s best film by far. Pretty much everything worked here for me even things that I’d think wouldn’t on paper.

Spider-Man 3 (2007) Rewatch: I loved this movie as a kid, hated it as a teenager when I was told it was bad, and now I love it again. Worst of the trilogy, but I can't hate it.

Human Vapor (2026) (Forgot about this, it should go between MI and MI2) It's pretty good. Kinda falls off towards the end for me and I wish it was in some ways more like the original movie, but still good.
