I have the MoviesTVNetwork on my antenna lineup, and I spent 7 hours today watching 3 Film Noir films that I have never seen.

Robert Montgomery, as Philip Marlowe, from the film Lady in the Lake, is looking into a mirror. He is wearing a white shirt with suspenders, black pants, and his tie is undone. Audrey Totter, as Adrienne Fromsett, is just behind him and to the left of Marlowe. Her hair is pinned up, and she is wearing a print dress. No colors as this film is in black and white.

Humphrey Bogart as Phillip Marlowe and Lauren Bacall as Vivian Rutledge in the film The Big Sleep. Marlowe is sitting in a desk chair, dressed in a suit and tie, holding a piece of paper. Vivian is sitting on the desk wearing a checked suit and a black blouse.

Jimmy Stewart as the character P.J. Jim McNeal, a reporter for the Chicago Times in the film Call Northside 777. He is wearing a white shirt and a striped tie, holding a piece of paper in his right hand and a large coffee cup in his left hand. His left wrist is adorned with a watch on a black band. There is a desk lamp casting a stream of light on the scene. There are file cabinets in the background.

I have had this book on my living room shelf for a few years, and decided to give it a whirl. Wow! This author is amazing. It takes place in 1936 Berlin, and to have the cajones to write a scene with Herman Goering is wild. Bernie Gunther is my new favorite historical private eye. ⚡📚💙

The cover of the first three Bernie Gunther novels in one book. The author is Philip Kerr, written in yellow in the middle, and there is a small photo of a man sitting in a car looking out the window.

I have had these Irises for years. I got them from a wonderful co-worker who passed away a few years ago. I don't know what kind they are or what the scientific name is. I call them a Simone Iris after my friend.🌱😊

I'm so sad to hear about Richard Chamberlain's death. I loved him in the made-for-TV movie The Man in the Iron Mask with Jenny Agutter.

Richard Chamberlain in period dress as King Louis XIV and Jenny Agutter as Louise De La Villiere. Louis XIV has a blue coat with a white long-sleeved shirt. The coat has gold buttons. Louis is wearing a long, black, curly wig. Louise is wearing a gold gown with a white collar. She has a string of pearls around her neck, and her hair is blond with curls lying on top of the white collar.

The character Havok, once a member of the X-Men. He is standing on a hill of machinery, dressed in a black suit with his left fist raised in the air.

I have been going through my book collection of old paperbacks that I bought in the late 1970s & early 1980s because I don't want my children to deal with getting rid of them and I was wondering if anyone had some obscure titles they would like to share. Here's mine. #books 💙📚

Book Title is World Enough, and Time by James Kahn. It has fantasy creatures in black silhouettes with the colors of yellow, light brown, and ochre.

The back of the World Enough, and Time paperback with a description of new animals in Southern California who had destroyed their homes & stolen their wives. Josh Green, the scribe sets out on a quest with Beauty, a centaur, to hunt a Vampire, a Griffin and a monstrous mutant.

The title of the sequel to World Enough, and Time is Time's Dark Laughter. It has a woman on the cover as some kind of creature sitting on what looks like a throne and a black cat down below and to the left. The color is a cross between ochre and red?

The back cover of Time's Dark Laughter that states five years have passed since the events in World Enough, and Time. Beauty's wife has left him to mind-link with the Pluggers. However, she removed the helmet that protected Josh from the mental summons of the City With No Name. Now, Beauty and Josh's brother set off to find their relatives in a world filled with animals and no use for man.

Thinking of all the Navy men in my family today. My dad, his father and brothers, and my oldest son.

My dad before he joined the Navy. He has hair combed back and wearing a checkered jacket with plaid tie.
