I need a shirt/shirtwaist to round out my party 'fit. Got the body done other than the buttons and holes, so sleeves are next, then the detached collar. Im glad I decided to sew the back darts inside out and make lacing strips out of them, I think that's my favorite detail so far. #sewsky

I finished my newsboy cap! I decided to add a hat band after wearing it for a bit as the pattern was written and found that I prefer the fit with one. I did, however have to make it twice since the first one was a tiny bit too tight and would have given me a headache. #sewsky

I'm waiting for shirt fabric to come in and remembered that I wanted to make a newsboy cap to match a wool coat I made. I had some perfectly sized scraps from that lining to cut out the cap lining too. Got the lining hand sewn together and Tajin came to snuggle and model for y'all. #sewsky #catsky

I finished my Worg Captain! She'd taken a tumble and her foot and the wolf's fang were lost, so i leaned into it and carved a scar over the wolf's eye and modeled a Hiccup style foot for the Captain. Wonderful sculpture from @twingoddessminis.bsky.social

Its a taco, it's a wallet, it's all hand-dyed with a bunch of hand sewing. I made a Taco Wallet for my partner, and I had a lot of fun trying out different dye techniques. Now to make a burrito purse for this to go inside of. #sewsky

Last night as I was trying to fall asleep I watched the moonrise, burning orange from the wildfire smoke. I tried to take a photo and realized my phone has some crazy night mode settings. I failed in capturing the moon, but instead got this fantastic study of light and shadow. Might make a painting

Did you know that the popular #Minecraft mod, The Aether is now on Bedrock? I always love seeing Spark Universe's work come across my desk, and I loved working on this #pixelart button for the world. All the mobs are fantastic, and the Valkyrie Queen kicked my butt when I tried to get reference!

I made myself a jimbei set for the summer! I bought 4 yards of hand-dyed cotton from a Kenyan vendor at last year's SewExpo, and still have some decent size scraps. I opted to trim the seams with another fabric to highlight the construction. Super comfy, and perfect for chores and lounging #sewsky

I think I'm getting the feel for non-metallic metals. This is also an interesting practice of painting a set vs painting a single. I only wish I'd had the idea to mirror the dupes before I printed the first two. Heraldry comes next # #minipainting

Had to do a bit more surgery than anticipated, as she lost her foot in the fall, so I modeled and printed her a Hiccup style prosthetic foot. And part of the wolf's snout chipped off, so I did a slice and reprint of that too. I left the tusk broken for the grizzled look of it. #minipainting

These Japanese thimbles are kind of addicting. I'm just not a fan of ring thimble for how I sew. So I made a full cap style thimble and did the embroidery on that instead. It's conical, so the pattern has gaps on one side, but I've decided to embrace the wabisabi imperfection of it. #sewsky

I love how the lettuce came out! I sewed a bunch of gathering stitches in my green rayon, the used a de-colorant mist from Jacquard to lighten veins, then airbrushed a chartreuse dye. Because the process wants steam, I ironed it while it was still gathered to lock in the texture. #sewsky

Catching up on my mending this weekend. I recently reattached the buttons onto these pants and used achor buttons on the inside, but the lining was slightly misaligned and tore along a spot I'd previously darned. So I needed to take off the button, darn the new tear and reattach the button. #sewsky

2 months of exercise! My new walking pad came with an app for tracking my walks. I've also started doing intervals of fast and slow, progressively faster: .4 up, .2 down. Last month I thought 1.8mph was too fast, now it's my average. Kits still coming to hang out.

A workout summary: 70kcals, 21mins, .62miles, average speed 1.8mph, highest slope 4.0. Then a graph of the speed, going up and down at regular intervals, each step up higher than the one before
