At least back in those days, in the "80s", I could pay the rent. And, buy hamburger and spaghetti noodles with my Food Stamps. Now known as SNAP, and not as available, apparently.

True. Even the low cost food is not affordable if you can't pay the rent. We have a food bank, but the supplies are limited. Children and elderly should not need to worry about where their next meal comes from.

Thank you Marcie for always bringing children's needs to the forefront. I saw recently in my area that children's food insecurity has risen 28% in the past year and the county I live in currently has the highest rate of measles cases in the state. VOTE FOR CHANGE!

That was my goal when my kids were young. We had BBQ hamburgers at the pool in the mobile home park where we lived. They thought we were on top of the world! (We were broke, negotiating with the Repo guys about my Chevy . . .)

Very sad to say, killing wild horses is always on the Govt agenda. The mustangs and burros have been rounded up for decades, that I have been following. The ranchers lease BLM land to graze their cattle, so wild beings are worthless.
