Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Johnny Ball still looks youthful! He's right... kids don't change over the years..Playschool sticks in my mind. I think it could still be great for the kids of today even in our very different and technological times. I remember the different shaped windows :) www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuC1...youtube.comPlayschool returning to television after 38 years & interview with Johnny Ball (UK) 26/Sep/2026YouTube video by Mark 1333 000
Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 04/10/2026It's a shame storage seems to cost so much in 2026. In a way it makes we wonder if you lose all your data all would you miss it.How much do you really need? Can you rely on the cloud? My 1TB mac drive is already full. So I had to get another 6tb backup drive. So noisy! I've already gone one! 110
Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Great to find old artwork on a usb pen. I sure did a lot of art with our program. Hopefully more in the future..... 040
Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Just found a BBC micro design I did. I think I was trying to imagine it for the 50th. Quite a funky teletext design 031

Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I just bought one of those M VAVE FM synth things for 40 quid. Someone has just released firmware for it that turns it into a sampler or subtractive synth. Who would have thought we could do all of this for 40 quid. A.I is changing everything..people writing new experimental firmware..interesting! 000
Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I've managed to get an old Windows Mixed Reality VR headset working on a Mac with Quest controllers working. The Quest feeds the controller info back to Google Chrome running this synth I created it. A miracle! The whole thing runs on a local web server. It's very Heath-Robinson and electrickery! 010

Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Yes he is. Actually that would be 35 years as we are both mid 50s I am sure people will still get enjoyment from programming. I just think we are going to rely on it more and more now whether good or bad. Maybe it doing it for you frees up creativity....that is one silver lining 001
Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I hate to say it but the writing is on the wall now for programmers. Probably not very long. The generated code is getting so good. It will be like the horse and cart when the car came in. My mate is professional programmer of 40 years and he knows his time is up soon 100
Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 28/09/2026A bin lorry went past me today with 3 fellas staring at me through their windscreen and a big message above them saying 'Caution Operatives at the rear' 🤣 000

Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I don't mind my mac pro but rendering video takes a friggin age. I would rather have 64gb of ram anyday ( and be able to replace the NVME!)...but...it's still doing all I need. Less is more! 000

Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I can't get over how expensive computers are now. I saw an M1 mac mini 16tb 2tb on CEX for 480. Now they are nearer 700 quid! I missed the boat there. A.I is amazing but it's crap the way computers have gone up so much. It looks like my 2013 Mac Pro is going nowhere fast. I do all my work on it. 100
Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 26/09/2026How exciting. I just bought a Raspberry Pi 400 for 35 quid. Now is it going to be RISC os or shall I attempt AROS ( sorry Acorn people I know that is a silly question) 111

Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Oh that's nice news to see the kids tv show Play School is returning to the BBC. I can't wait to go through the round window and see Humpty, Jemima and Hamble again. Although they are in a museum no doubt. It's a hard act to follow Derek, Brian, Floella and all the others. Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 19/09/2026A journalist from The Sun decided that this picture of a Seagull eating a Gregg's sausage roll whole was another example of yobs invading Southend and running wild. That is a bit of a stretch don't you think 🤣🤣🤣 000
Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I just bought a small non ebike bike from China off Amazon. I am off Ebikes now. Ebikes are brilliant things but if you get a puncture it's so stressful. What do you do? Can't leave it out in the street. This new bike has 12 inch wheels. I wasn't prepared for how small it was! Lets see how I do! 010
Pixelblip @pixelblip.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I had a go on this -really good! I will have another one later. Interesting your graphics choices/colours. Squeezing the music in as well Some interesting Beeb stuff going on - this, Elite, that Zarch thing. Keep on going everyone! 010
