Fragile as heck too, mine died with the ‘E’ state after I looked at it funny, so sold it for parts for £30 🙄

A few weeks back I used HC110 dil B (1+31), for 9 mins, at 20°C. Was happy with the results. I can’t remember where those times were from but I’d added them as a custom time in Massive Dev. They seem really really long!

Absolutely. Same here. I’m always a bit surprised when people talk about all the toxic stuff here. Must be doing something right 😊

For the most part I have the same experience, but I really REALLY wish more people would use hashtags like ‘uspol’ / ‘ukpol’ for selective muting. I really don’t want it here, and would like the option to mute it.

Two accidentally underexposed images from the National Gallery that I’m quite fond of (2/2) — 📷: Pentax MX + SMC 40mm 🎞️: Foma 400 — #BelieveInFilm #FilmPhotography
A black and white film photograph of a person doing a detailed pencil drawing of a woman in a painting that’s hung on a wall at the national gallery. We’ve had this recently with road closures and terrible potholes and sinkholes around the (very rural) office. Them: Are the roads open again or shall I work from home? Me: *Basking in silence* yep they’re open, but you’ll need a Unimog..

Thank you but it’s ok I have a mate locally with one I’ll borrow. I was hoping to avoid modelling my own in the first instance. Seemed pointless making a good model when Simon Forster has that covered. But I’m starting to shift enough OM lenses that I need to print my own really.

Ben Hutchings @pixelated135.bsky.social · 04/01/2026
Does anyone have a good tried and tested OM Mount rear lens cap model? The couple I’ve tied from Printables and Thingiverse are very loose and scaling isn’t turning out to be a great fix. Before I model one, I thought I’d ask… #FilmPhotography #BelieveInFilm #3DPrinting

For me it’s more about being able to load really short rolls, so even at the same cost I’d go bulk. Although, if my source of Foma/Lomo style snap-together cassettes dries up, I might go back to reusing metal ones with taped tails.

I said in a #photochat that I mark all films & detail them in a notebook. I should also say that sometimes I bulkload forgotten film stocks into blank cassettes, shoot them in random cameras and then find them months later at the backs of shelves 😅 #isitpictures? 1h Stand Dev time! #FilmPhotography

Sometimes it’s the only thing that identifies how I should be developing something I shot 5 months ago and forgot was in a camera. This only works if I marked the film AS it went it to the camera of course 😂 When the system breaks, I stand develop and pray!

Contact prints is what I’m missing. Perhaps when I actually ‘print’ and not just scan, I’ll get it sorted.

Dec #Photochat A3: don’t shoot any digital but film scans live in iCloud & some in Lightroom catalogues. Physical negs all kept and stored in binders. I also have a little book from the start with all film numbers and very simple data. i.e “No.115 Gold/F5, Nov ‘25, Berkeley Castle day”

Dec #Photochat A2: I have a Plustek 35mm scanner, and an old Epson flatbed (on loan from a friend) with a 120 mask for MF. I use Silverfast with the Plustek and the bundled Epson scanner, then photoshop as needed, with the flatbed. I don’t print optically, only digitally myself occasionally.

I can’t fathom how folks operate at these temps. Machines must struggle? Utility supplies. General clothing needs. Hearing homes? Everything must have to be so so insulated. 2 years ago we had -10C which is the lowest I’ve known, and stuff around our home (in UK) just broke down. Burst pipes etc.
