My memoir Running with Lions was published by Koehler Books a week ago. It’s been a hectic with many contacting me about it - those who have read it: those who want to read it; those who want to buy it for friends and those who want it in dissidents - audio etc. it’s exciting time. I’m very happy.

The race is on towards the release of my memoir - Running with Lions. It’s an exciting time but a worrisome time too. I wonder who will read my book which mind you is the best written book I’ve ever known for I prepped myself for decades to do but one thing/ write a book they can’t ignore. July 14

Im giddily anticipating the release of my memoir in July - Running with Lions. My Lions were poverty and disease and the British colonial power. The imperial British lion having spent time fighting the Nazis repeated the Nazi torture experience on the Kikuyu Mau Mau - to be really “bad.”

AI is going to be our end - I thought after carefully reading an impossible message from someone about my memoir - Running with Lions. The writer claimed she’d read the book in flourishing terms. She couldn’t have because no one else had. The letter I’m sad to say was clearly an AI production.

There are leaders who are competent in crises but Trump is not one. He failed miserably in the COVID crisis. we will fail in this Iran crisis because there simply were no thoughts about consequences. Trump is great when all is smooth sailing. We’re in trouble. He’s not the man for this moment.

I’m an avid consumer of political news. Where else can you watch folks who hardly graduated from high school bash each other’s heads? It’s fascinating how ignorance is displayed on a daily basis Misfortune is that their actions aren’t just comical. They affect babies, mothers and school meals

I’m thinking of Me-Too movement’s failure in this Epstein moment. They destroyed many a worthy man and yet here were their mum about the men who abused little girls on the islands. Where is the outrage? Or is it because the victims here were working class girls who don’t quite count? Just wondering

For man the hardest thing is to identify other humans as beings who have the same feelings as us. It’s thus easy to ignore or consider them as NONENTITIES. Injuring or destroying them doesn’t affect us since we’ve souls; they don’t. To care we must consider others our equals with same aspirations

German NAZIs killed their millions in 4 years. Civilized nations were victorious and routed the killers! We all said “NEVER AGAIN”. Sudan’s killings of more than 10 million grinds on in an industrial killing exercise. Where is humanity? Where are the Arabs? We’ve become blind to murder. Shame.

It’s absolutely incomprehensible that the Supreme Court would allow Trump to with hold food to needy American children, poor and disabled, old folks. By a court of OLD MEN claiming to be Christians. For a Christian administration. Conclusion? These Christians lie in a sinful farcical manner

Why does Trump feel the need to announce pharmacological news and dose recommendations? He is neither a doctor nor a scientist. His current advisors who are not medical scientists are completely unqualified! In a country of so many doctors this is a true travesty. It’s shameful.

RFK jr’s handiwork is confusion. The vaccine commandments of yesterday are a riot of confusion almost as if the folks making the decisions were confused or just didn’t know what they were doing. It happens when a group of men and women look at each other and ask: “What? who’re We?”

What has happened to American science is tragic as the Trump administration eviscerates it and scientists beat a retreat. We wait rapturously to hear a response from the gods of science as to the direction the “natives” should take. We seek leadership. We thirst for scientific wisdom. We wait!!!!

I am consistently concerned by Trump’s disrespectful conversation with President Ramaphosa of South Africa. There has been no genocide of Afrikaners by Black people. It would have taken him and his assistants a few seconds to find the truth. The Oval Office exercise was for show. An untruth - lie.

It’s amazing and rather dismaying that the president can destroy that which is good in a country like America. Incredible that a president can be so ignorant and blind and unwilling to be educated in what matters! To watch as all that made the US a great nation is being destroyed is incredible!

What is painful and hurts is that Trump and his aides are absolutely heartless beings. Nothing like charity or empathy seem to circulate in their brains or hearts. Musk is the most nihilistic creature one could ever see. Join the two and we are riding a car to hell. What a screwed up democracy

Yesterday was Pi day. Didn’t eat any pies but I thought a great deal about circles, diameters and perimeters. Imagine Archimedes working using the constant- Pi. As one born in Africa I sometimes wish we had described the relationship between a circle’s diameter and circumference.

Barbarians were at the gates before Nov 5. We should’ve stopped them but we screwed up. Barbarians are in our house and there’s little one can do. This is amazing in a house with the smartest men and women that ever lived- certainly smarter than the barbarians. May their smarts help us to survive

The political crossroads of America may have a silver lining - it allows the voters to see what can happen when promises aren’t kept and the emptiness of mere words. Our democracy is good but it’s a delicate beauty easily kidnapped by roguish undemocratic leaders of no conscience and no integrity

So the bloodletting and killings go on in Congo and Sudan. Why a continent finds itself tied up in bloody conflicts and can’t seem to free itself is ridiculous and childish. Africa should slap itself in the face and wake up. We can’t go on this way. Where’s Mandela? Must we be recolonized? Russia?

Rwanda is reported to have discovered oil on lake Kivu becoming the latest African oil producing nation. All of the African oil producers have one thing in common - the degree of corruption is sky high. Petroleum gold flows into a few pockets. Oil is a curse; a detriment to democracy.

So much print is spent on Ukraine and Gaza that there’s not much ink remaining for the poor Sudanese/Darfurians dying in thousands and being raped by Arab thugs - RSF. These lads are being armed by nice oil wealthy Emirs who take gold and other great stuff from Sudan. Long live the Emirates.

From the killing of the United Healthcare CEO we should concentrate not on canonizing Luigi but on gathering a movement to change how we manage healthcare in US. Many countries have superior methods which we should explore and adopt. Sadly with Trump on the throne it’ll be hard but try we must!!!

For two decades Republicans fought to end abortion in Us and succeeded. The time to form a party to fight for universal healthcare has come. Yes We Can abolish predatory health insurance companies like Republicans did with abortion.

This Thanksgiving has been quiet and peaceful with few negative incidents in America. Of course the day is celebrated mostly in America- and sadly only by a segment of the population. That said we ALL have a great deal to celebrate and a good deal to be grateful for. Science has made life BETTER

To the Europeans Africa was a continent ripe for the taking; like North America it was devoid of Native ownership. The 1884 Berlin conference carved up the continent among European entities - the true start of Africa’s troubles! It’s been a bloody mess. White hounds have torn her carcass.

The Mau Mau were righteous warriors. The British mis-labeled them devils. The British have called anyone they sullied and defiled evil. Truth is the Empire was a terrible and truly evil force ran by imperial monsters! A need exists to revisit old, hidden melevolences and right old wrongs.

To change the subject. A war was fought by British troops and farmers in Kenya against the Kikuyu whose lands the British had forcible taken. The tribal group was called Mau Mau - they were a sacred army of Blacks. Thousands tortured and murdered by Whites death + misery were British companions.

Our attention as a people is focused on a tiny little Middle East island where Israel is avenging what Hamas did 1000 days ago. Across Sahara desert Arab Sudanese armies have emptied the country of people and killed a numberless lives. Can the human race’s mercy and love carry them ALL? Pray 4 ‘em

I am a writer/surgeon and on another social media have seen a number of discussions about colon cancer in young people. This is to say YES - it's important to be aware of it and to seek help from one's physician. Bottom line: if you're 40 get a colonoscopy. Family history; being Black +++ important

@bsky.app Elsewhere on social media I’ve seen much talk about colon cancer. It’s something young people have to be aware about and demand answers from health professionals. Particularly true for young Black people - colonoscopy as early as 40 years. NoteChadwick Bozeman and Inram Kendi had it.
