My mom's boyfriend had his car broken into. My mom said it happened on the one night he remembered to lock the car. Awesome! Great! So, who knows what else has been stolen. We are probably considered an easy target, and now they are escalating. I do not feel safe with these people living here 🫠

I treat this app like a personal journal, sorry. I don't keep a personal journal anymore because my mom read my shit and shared everything with her husband, who used it to blackmail me. The thought of leaving a trace of me behind for someone I know to find makes me sick with anxiety.

It is crazy to me that my partner feels comfortable to joke about it. I am so embarrassed, and I feel like a failure. I would not want to tell anyone, especially not the homeowners. But it was better to tell them. It is sometimes so clear how differently we were raised to approach problems.

They were so casual about it and sympathized?? They are our landlords. This is their house. They have the right to be upset. If I told my parents, they would shame and judge me so harshly for not keeping a clean house and being such a slob that I have pests. They would be right, though.

I have never had a mouse in my home before but suddenly we keep finding them? My husband told his parents about it joking about how our kitchen cupboards are squeaking and we keep finding mice. They just said "oh yeah, we've been seeing a lot more too, must be all the construction in the fields."

My husband let me know that he accidentally left a sharp axe either on our bed or on the cat tree this morning. It works better than an alarm. I am up.

Adding for context and to reassure myself: his parents are awesome and consider me part of the family and have never excluded me from anything. Last year my husband, his whole family and I went out to dinner for his birthday. I need to calm down.

I think I might try shaving my legs regularly. It is good exercise trying to shave in the shower.

It will cost over $1000 to get a new fridge similar to our current one, or it will cost $30 and an afternoon to fix our current one. We do not have $1000+ to spend on a new fridge. I don't know what my husband thinks we need to discuss.
