They don't in the UK and Europe generally. There have been lots of cases and even teams being relegated. This however is by far the biggest case.

Nothing to stop teams that were relegated as well as those that missed out on the Champions League claiming. They are the big losses. League positions are smaller ones. Citeh have had it.

Wrong Nicholson. We were big spenders under our greatest ever manager.

I think we already have. A couple more before September will complete things for now.

That's fair enough but we can't have it both ways. Levy was overly cautious and unwilling to heavily invest in players but the same man's long term strategy did build the ground that now enables the investment.

They did before that's why it was chosen. Clacton isn't the poorest town btw, nearby Jaywick is. At the other end of the constituency Frinton is pretty well off.

Sadly he does think they are stupid. Many are and many others won't even know about this or anything else about him.

Yes. That's the one.

I stand corrected. Titter ye not.

I don't think his supporters know much of what he has been up to or care. Mix of old working class "not for the likes of us" former Tories and out and out racists. And before anyone says otherwise I'm talking about my former neighbours.

He's banking (in every sense) on his constituents not caring, despite their own poverty, that he takes undeclared money from convicted fraudsters. He is like Frankie Howard in Up Pompeii - infamy, infamy they've all got in infamy. Sadly he will win.

In a sense he is. Is that to be his campaign headquarters in the poorest place England? He wants their votes but he really doesn't want to meet the locals.

He's moving to a beach hut in Jaywick.

He was coming back from second leg break and Bremner tried to do him. Think Mackay (correct spelling) hated the photo.

Levy! Do keep Up.

I've always enjoyed a good Woolwich defeat. I'm a youngster though, only 67.

Yawn. Spurs haven't moved. Arsenal are a franchise club like MK Dons.

Gary Pitt @pittgary.bsky.social · 10/05/2026
As well as fouls given for the lightest touches on Arsenal defenders. I don't think it is dodgy in any way just an unconscious bias in favour of the superior team. Utd in particular used to benefit.

Can hear him now saying Vicario needs to be stronger. Never knew the test was the keepers alleged strength to withstand a foul.

Gary Pitt @pittgary.bsky.social · 10/05/2026
Am happy as a Spurs fan that it was disallowed on this occasion but you were dead lucky as the masters of "fouling" keepers. I've watched the likes of Ben White do far worse and get away with it as well as Gabriel getting free kicks when touched with a feather.

I thought just that and not only ref and VAR but the pundits' seem to have a double standard. Not upset on this occasion but I would be if I was a Wet Spam or Citeh fan.

£5m for his "personal safety" and yet he won't hold face to face surgeries.

"I've been the most attacked, physically, politician of modern times," Farage said. Trump level hyperbole. He was struck by a milkshake. What about Jo Cox or David Amiss or Stephen Timms.

I see you are in America so wonder if you know who Terry is.

Think you have misunderstood my sentiment and also what I said. He referred to immigrants. Yes some become uk citizens but I was talking specifically about his black teammates many were indeed immigrants. Don't imagine he would have displayed his views to Didier Drogba.

Gary Pitt @pittgary.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
Not at all sure radicalised is accurate, emboldened more like it and no longer worried that he would be confronted by black immigrants in his team.

If it's pitch related it isn't just ours and players have suffered away from home too. Prevelence is far greater generally so firm pitches and blades might be.

Gary Pitt @pittgary.bsky.social · 30/04/2026
I'm blaming the attacker who decided he could go straight throw me as I shielded a ball back to our keeper. It was the 80's before the pass back rule.

You are fond of repeating systemic safeguards without saying what you have in mind. Given you imagine there is a eugenic intent I think we needn't take you seriously.
000
Gary Pitt @pittgary.bsky.social · 24/04/2026
Lots of words but no explanation at all. Bit like the Lords so called debate but in reality a blocking exercise.
110
Gary Pitt @pittgary.bsky.social · 24/04/2026
It's all about individuals who are dying not wider concerns that others may have. There is a limit to safeguards that individuals would seek to have that would end up preventing the very thing the bill would allow. You are free to die a painful death, the bill doesn't require you to choose not to.
120
Gary Pitt @pittgary.bsky.social · 24/04/2026
Glad to hear you aren't opposed but there are loads of safeguards but many of those who blocked this were not concerned that more were needed rather than a fundamental opposition based on their religious beliefs. Who are they to impose their beliefs on the rest of us?
110
Gary Pitt @pittgary.bsky.social · 24/04/2026
Absolutely no comfort to someone dying in pain now who wants to end their life. Who on earth are you to tell them what they should do particularly because you are concerned about something that isn't actually proposed. What makes me think you are just opposed and are just using this argument.
160
Gary Pitt @pittgary.bsky.social · 24/04/2026
You've hit the nail on the head bit not in the way you think. Unelected peers have deliberately blocked the democratic elected commons either because of their own religious beliefs that are not shared by most of us or concerns about what could come next rather than what was actually proposed.

And the worst thinh for us would be Arsenal winning the league, West Ham surviving and maybe our fate being sealed at Chelsea. Truly a nightmare scenario.

Gary Pitt @pittgary.bsky.social · 19/04/2026
I'm old enough to have watched us be relegated in 76/7 and then come up in 77/8. Not at all sure we could repeat it with this squad. Many not suitable for championship dogfight.

I can assure you he is in the minority. Yes we got exited when we went ahead (there has been little of that particularly at home this season) but there was gallows humour before hand - Lincoln away ola ola - and resignation after.

Reform UK's energy prize winners, Wigan-based Raymond and June Dibble "are the very same couple who nominated Lee Moffitt to become the Wigan branch chair of Reform UK." Moffitt appears in the publicity video posted by Farage of their miraculous win. Fancy that! bylinetimes.com/2026/04/13/r....

Fortunate as only VAR decided his nose was offside. Next season when we are in the Championship it would almost certainly be a goal. I'll give you that briefly after we scored we were better but it was brief. The penalty and sending off was for denying a goal scoring opportunity!

Not sure I was watching the same game. We were disjointed and not in control. We were fortunate not to go one nil down. I have problems getting home with 8 pm kick offs so I switched off the tele at 3-1 rather than leaving (something I've done once in 59 years). Gradual decline since Nov 23.

I'm 67 and it very definitely isn't in my years of watching. The team that went down just before you were born was far worse and kids would have been playing if that team had 10 injuries.

Same level of players? Do you mean the fit ones or the injured ones. Not a fan of Frank but the problems are deep seated. The next manager will struggle too.

You do go on but I couldn't agree more re Romero, edge of box at corners indeed I said the same when watching on the box. Do I go on Tuesday and return to Wiltshire in the early hours? So frustrating.
