Ok but in their defense I think permanent alpha is an acceptable state for some specific sandbox games to be in. In programming 1.0 generally means stable with no breaking changes. BeamNG is one of the best driving sims period, and they do constant overhauls.

All of the features that separate destiny from other shooters are borrowed from MMOs. It took that formula, concentrated it, and slapped bungie shooting mechanics on top. Eternal is derivative but destiny is even moreso. Also warframe was developed simultaneously to destiny.

Doom eternal proved you can absolutely choke the player with verbs and gameplay systems, and in doing so force the player to engage more deeply.
