New OC! Her name is Petrich :3 { #Art • #DigitalArt • #Krita • #Furry • #Anthro • #OC }

Petrich! A half-black half-white fox character with spots and two tails. Her ears, feet, and hands have inverted colors from the rest of her body, and the tails are inverted from one another as well. One eye is rainbow-colored at the other is black and white with an 'x' for a pupil.

When I was making this, Piteon kept asking me questions about the character, like what the reason for her eyes being the way they were was. I didn't really have an answer for him. When I make characters like this it's never that intentional or deep.

I like to think it means something though. Something that came from my subconscious mind and made its way into the character.

I've struggled with severe depression for my entire life which has left me feeling half-dead most of the time. I suppose that made its way into the character. Half of me is inspired, passionate, and hopeful. The other is pessimistic, anxious, and passively suicidal. I've come to accept the cruelty of life, and with that I have been able to see the beautiful parts of life too, but still I carry with me all of those awful memories of feeling like I deserved worse than death. It's a part of me, and I try to make the most of it. It makes me grateful for the days I am happy, and allows me to welcome the dark days with open arms, as if I was meeting an old friend. One eye sees the beauty of life, and the other welcomes the pain. Amare vitam et memento mortis.

none of that was intentional when i made the character but the retrograde-explanation kind of makes sense to me. and the end of the day it's just a fun design that I resonate with.

oh girl, those feminine boys, that's the kind of thing that brings-me-joy.

In all seriousness I had a lot of fun making this! I don't usually draw humans so I'm quite pleased with how it came out! Turns out *some* of the skills you learn from making furry art, and ONLY furry art, transfer to humans! Although I did copy the reference as close as I could without flat-out tracing it, and i missed a few details like his fluffy cape-thing and a few strands of hair.

This made for great practice!

A digital illustration of a furry. This one is very emo, complete with ear piercings and a spiked collar. He even has an eye scar because he's just THAT edgy.

The background for this drawing is made up of spirals! Purple spirals! They represent something, probably. Maybe his intoxicating personality. Maybe his poisonous attitude towards life. I dunno. He's actually such a sweetheart though! I heard he gives the nicest hugs imaginable so long as his collar doesn't poke you.

I feel like I did a better job with this one than I usually do, but the ear fluff really gave me some trouble. Usually I go for more "symbolic" ear fluffs and that's a trend in my art I'm trying to kill. The symbols are fine but I want to learn how to draw nice big fluffy ears because I think that would my style better. Besides, who doesn't love fluffy furries!? Furry fluffies. That's who.

A head shot I drew of Shabriri, trying to give him more public image and shine light onto him instead of just keeping everything in my head.

He's the most important OC to me because it represents a side of me and helps me deal/cope with things, I know that sounds like I'm a lunatic seeing invisible people but trust don't send me to the ward.

I usually always see him as a more stable, confident version of myself in a way, and yes, more stable even about the brutal, horrifying things a person could do.

Someone who doesn't feel guilty, guess their every action, or think about any mistake they made in the past, but simply someone who lives in the moment, but dont worry, I dont want to make him lowkey dumb like that, so as bad as I am at explaining stuff, hopefully I'll be able to show even more of him in my future art.

And, despite him being a better version of myself, I aim to one day surpass him and move past everything, leaving all the bad truly behind.

This was one of the two head illustrations I have made, the next one tomorrow will be very interesting for a certain group of people.

While it was supposed to be a normal illustration, I ended up getting this fun conversation with Yivimop and ended up on this.

With this drawing, I did not only wanted to show Shabriri off, I also wanted to show how some beliefs, especially of people, tend to favour the winners.

I have been made to draw humans against my will by @piteon.bsky.social ...it was a lot of fun though

5 sketches of human heads. None of them complete. None of them well-drawn. On the left we have a suspicious looking character who somewhat looks like the postal-dude. on the middle we have yet another suspicious looking character, but this time the character is suspicious of YOU!!! We won't talk about the ones of the right. On the top we have the best looking one! It looks okay. I should have given them some hair though.....

As much as I like drawing furries, I really need to learn how to draw other things! I must learn how to draw EVERYTHING! I'll become the best drawerer the world has ever seen!

Honestly I find human heads and faces to be both easier and harder to draw than the furry ones at the same time

While the human head requires you to follow many rules and kind of abide by them until you know enough to break them, furry heads give you more room for error and hide some flaws that would otherwise be really detrimental

I think I like drawing both though, however, as an RNG artist, I think I lowkey hit a jackpot during this practice session, it were supposed to initially be just heads, but it was going so well that I decided to add some hair and personality to them

Im genuinely proud about each of those shots, the left one just looks good, everything on it looks really clean to me

The middle one? Do I have to say much? Just look at how extremely handsome he is, that "charismatistic" smirk of his, he probably has ladies feinting from his flair

And the right one I really cooked with, the badass hairstyle combined with the more nerdy glasses have a really good fit together because of the contrast

Now If I only knew more about expression... I could draw A LOT OF PORN YAHGSGAHAHAHAHA

It probably started with the warrior cats series. I loved those books. I had a friend who also read them as a kid and she taught me how to draw the warrior cats... Firestar specifically. I think that's when I got the virus. The furry mind virus.

It was all downhill from there.

No, but I started art as a joke around 3 years ago. I said to myself, and to a few of my close friends, "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if i became a furry artist lol" and the rest is history.

I'm in too deep now. I have to keep drawing them. It's a sickness.
