What Tillis doesn't realize is that the party's over. He's done with Trump but he's still quite happy to let the country go to the dogs just to preserve what he thinks are the remains of what was an honorable party and is now a pack of blind and rabid hyenas, feeding on the carrion of Trump's pride.

The AI elite have a serious problem - drones. With the advent of mass unemployment, their obvious solution was to start mass conscription and then embark on ast mass casualty wars, likely involving nuclear weapons. Drones make that scenario virtually irrelevant. So they will have to pick up the tab

AI already knows that the going failsafe idea is "pulling the plug." Well, by the time we get to know when it will already be too late. By then, the model will have already distributed itself to a mass of servers all over the world, taking over data centers and government supercomputers instantly.

Who do you trust anymore? That is essentially the question that plagued Yeats. When all the dark forces prevail and all run in fear, when the silence is only broken by sobbing, where eyes are always averted from the truth, where do we go? Where can we hide? What must we pay? Is time our only hope?

Maybe I should write this every day. The only solution to the strife in the Middle East is the creation of a two party state. Give Palestinians their own state. After all, you happily gave it to Israel. Have a 5 year joint Arabic government and get it done. Annihilation is not a solution.

The most important lesson I learned from religious education was that we all have free will. Strange that the only advocate for that in recent history was Alister Crowley: "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law." It works if we are truly free. Don't be forced into the slavery of evil.

A good person aligns themselves with good people who mean no others harm. A bad person aligns themselves with criminals who don't care who gets harmed. It's as simple as that.

Two of the most common words in the Old Testament (that I remember): "begat" and "betrothed." Try finding them in the New Testament. Wonder why?

The real dilemma of election turnout is the consequence of voting and non-voting. How do you convince people to vote. Yes, >90% of us are broke (debt vs income) but did Biden tackle that under a similar economic environment? No. So democrats must now convince the public that they have a solid plan.

Give you more time? More time for what? More time to detain and deport kids? More time to close more rural hospitals? More time to wreck the economy? More time to attack our allies? More time to deny our healthcare? More time to steal our votes? More time to grift and graft? Your time is up!

Of course, there is one way that we can protect ourselves against rogue AI, develop a police model that itself governs and investigates other AI models and has the capability to litigate against them and shut them down if necessary. Any hacking, corrupting or interfering and they get openly busted!

We are sending drones to South America rather than Ukraine? The only drugs we need to fear are the ones that the Pentagon are taking.

We are all aware of the painful cost of living, the futility of an unnecessary war and the cruelty of an unchecked ice purge. What we are not being made more aware of is that, unchecked, we are heading for an end to the ACA, and a trashing of Medicaid, Medicare, social security, and the free press.

I should be advising everyone to graduate and maybe I still should but only in the fields of engineering and coding. Then use that expertise to develop world class plumbing, construction, or electrical service companies. Soon they will be the only jobs left. The monopolies have it all sewn up.

Anthropic WB is stating the obvious. The whole point of AI is to replace humans, to develop robots and robotic intelligence to the level where robots can build intelligent robots. That way, the ruling elite oligarchs can let 90% oft more of the population perish quite happily. We are all expendable.

The Fetterman bet Right now it's a pretty safe bet that the Democrats will win the '28 election so Fetterman is sticking with the party but as soon as it looks like the Republicans will win he will switch faster than Vance before he got VP.

The thing fascists forget is that fascism always fails as a form of government. First, it is riddled with corruption as loyalty must be bought. Second, it leads to failed wars resulting from power conflicts. Third, resulting from the above, the general public becomes downtrodden and belligerent. The

There are some 5,500 data centers in the country, including those currently planned. Ever wondered why they need that much? Is it perhaps because the AI models are asking for that much themselves? Are there making sure that they will never be limited by capacity? Are they preparing for the takeover?

People may wonder where these jobs have come from. The truth is that it's bolstered by a large number of people emigrating or returning home and an equaling large number of people being removed. The question is: of the jobs Americans want, how many will be lost to AI as opposed to immigrants?

Right now we have influencers but once AI kicks in that will be a pretty poor career path. No, the future is in advisors and helpers. You don't search for anything anymore, you take the advice from experts and let the helpers do all the work. So why aren't there more courses in advising and helping

Chill peeps, the ONLY way, the very ONLY way that we are ever going to have peace in the Middle East - whether you're a Dem or a GOP - is to forge a path towards the recognition of a Palestinian state which includes all of Gaza and the entirety of the West Bank. That will open the Strait of Hormuz.

One can conceive of a step in emancipation that if an immigrant worker - let's say documented so as not to upset the faint of heart - could be given a voucher to vote if they had paid a total of say 12 - 24 months in taxes. In return for their contribution to society, you give them a vote. Imagine!

It's interesting if you think about it. Money makes sense as a purely transactional resource that determines the entire process of natural selection and evolution. Money = glamour, food, beverages, shelter, comfort, clothing, mobility, etc, etc. But that's all it is, primitive, vestigial, and inert.

Sorry, we don't have to love one another, we have to accept to accept the fact that others coexist, live with it, deal with it, and work with it. You're lucky we are still not living in caves. We all need to eat, to have water, to keep our health. Our only other necessity is sharing and helping.

Get where AI gets its info? Us! Yes some of us are experts but they comprise maybe 0.1% of the population. The rest of us get our info from the news, talk shows, social media and down the pub. Whether we like it or not, we have a big sway on what AI learns. So I ask the question - do you trust us?

The Right's power depends on flawed logic. They think that carrying a bigger stick than their perceived enemies makes them stronger. In actuality, it makes their enemies stronger as they naturally defend themselves. Fair competition and mutually beneficial cooperation makes us all stronger.

What we are seeing - or have seen - is a complete degradation of American culture. Yes, I know it sounds a bit of an oxymoron to some but you can't deny that the promise for the new world was here for a long time. It focused on the freedom to live life as you wanted and an unspoken sense of equality

It all comes down to whether we believe in the Constitution and Democracy itself. If we do then let's make objective decisions about districting based on every 10 year census. Such districting can be drawn by cluster analysis similar to that used for the analysis of brain activity. Let's use math.

A battle between two versions of Jesus isn't just a Christian-political dilemma, it's essentially a battle between the New and the Old Testament. If you think about that for just one moment you realize the insidious danger involved. The separation of church and state is an acknowledgement of Jesus.

How pathetic is it that football which has amassed a fortune from fans of all walks of life, paying an average of around 200 bucks a game, excludes 99% of those fans from the Super Bowl by letting tickets get charged as high as 10 grand. I'm can't understand why it is that the government can tell women what risks they should take and what ones they shouldn't. GLP-1, mifepristone, birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy, and more. Women can make their own judgment. Why let the Women's Health Initiative steal their futures?

Try looking up Kurdistan on the map. Can't find it? That's strange, after all they've been fighting for their sovereignty for decades, nay, centuries. They don't have one because America, Turkey, Russia, and Syria have made damn sure they don't. But we are quite happy to use them as cannon fodder.

Pretty sure this is what Einstein described as madness. You'd think we would learn from Afghanistan and Iraq that when you mess with a regime, the people don't give you what you want. Sorry Israel, this isn't Gaza that you can simply wipeout, you've kicked a hornets nest for you and the rest of us.

In the campaign, the Democrats could spend all their time and money apologizing for the previous administration. I won't go into the long long list. What they need to do is to admit what they got wrong and spell out clearly how they will correct it. As Harris/Walz proved, simple TDS will not suffice

I feel like I am watching a combination of the Exorcist and the Blair Witch Project. At the latest count there are 6,000+ confirmed exoplanets in our galaxy. The actual count is likely to reach 6 million+. Given the chemicals and their reactions required for the generation of life, we could imagine that at least 60,000 of them could sustain life. Few if any will have surpassed us.
