I somehow forgot to post this until now, but a few weeks ago, I met the man himself!

My favorite game of all time got a Switch 1 remake in 2024, so I'd happily take my second favorite game of all time on Switch 2 down the line

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Okay, honestly, that was actually a pretty solid Direct. Not much of it was stuff I *hoped* for, but I'm definitely pre-ordering Kirby, Metroid, Pikmin 4 S2, and AoC Definitive Edition

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Okay, I'm gonna be real here, I actually got a little emotional at some points of that Direct. Thats just how much this series means to me. This remake seems to be about what I expected, but that doesn't mean it isn't looking absolutely fire, and I'm super excited

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Chat, I start work at 7am, so like last time, I'm just gonna mute all my apps until I can get around to watching the Direct. See you nerds on the flipside

The SpongeBob SquarePants episode ‘Band Geeks’ premiered 25 years ago today on Nickelodeon.

Also, this is weirdly early to announce the Directs. Ordinarily, they're announced 24-48 hours before they go live, usually not four days. I'm just curious if there's a reason why

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Okay, a few errors in the track list aside, what a lovely gift after getting out of the theater from the Cars rerelease! This was really the soundtrack I wanted most of all!

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Also, the partner introduction music is completely absent. Neither the Japanese or international version is anywhere to be found.

This includes #CoyoteVsAcme, folks! I don't think it's listed here, but it is getting a 4K release!

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Trust me, I hate to sound like a pessimist (and I admittedly rushed this QRP, my shift was about to start), but you know what I'm saying, and I can't just lie about it

000

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Gonna be real, it feels to me like NOTHING came of that last direct, I'm barely even excited tbh

010

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

Oh, in addition to my Looney Tunes shirt, I also wore blue shorts to resemble Crash Bandicoot since he was heavily inspired by Wile E. Coyote and the Tazmanian Devil

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

I just got back from #CoyoteVsAcme. It was spectacular. A lot more touching than I expected. I'm trying to keep this vague so as to not spoil anything, but it did not disappoint after so many moons of neglect and ignorance.

If the Stephen Hillenberg argument means anything, Bluey's creator is very closely involved here. Even if he maybe would've preferred to do this in 2D, this is still a passion project through and through

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Well, this at least doesn't make me feel like Red, Chuck, and Bomb watching Mighty Eagle piss into the lake, so we're probably fine

I just finished Windswept. All achievements, all cartridge minigames, every broke and pacifist run, without assists. What a spectacular experience. Thank you, @weatherfell.bsky.social

If Spyro ARB does well, that could be our only chance. Toys 4 Bob has shown interest in bringing Banjo back, and I would absolutely trust them.

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

I got a comparable-ish story. Earlier, my mom was watching The Dink, and when Black Betty started playing, I am not even joking, my first reaction was "hey, it's the song from Rayman Legends!" Yeah, turns out that song is getting quite a bit of lip service this year

Happy birthday, king! 👑 I'm so glad he's returning for #SpyroARealmBeyond, considering how Jess Harnell wasn't able to reprise his role as Crash It's also very fitting that Patrick's voice actor once played a character who's known for saying "happy birthday"

000

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

Okay, now I have no regrets since I decided to start collecting physical Switch games shortly before this whole Sony fiasco

I'm not defending Nintendo's decision here, but I just wanna point out that I have seen little to ZERO praise for Mario Kart Tour until now. Just saying.

Pirate_Cove_Man @piratecoveman.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

So, y'all are always saying that the Platinum Relics in Hog Ride or Road Crash are a humongous pain in the ass Why are none of y'all ever talking about Area 51? Do you people not find it difficult to not be able to see shit? Lmao
